celebrated another month with
my boyfriend Sam. He is such an
amazing guy! My job is pretty
great, too ... after I got used to
being on my feet on cement all
day for about eight hours, that
is!! I have learned so much even
just after four full days! I learned
that you have to make sure the
arm of the sleeve is out of the
way (or else it gets sewn over
and you have to cut the shirt to
retrieve your embroidery hoop),
that you have to watch your
thread spool (or else you have
to learn how to rethread a very
complex embroidery machine),
and you have to make sure the
edge of your towel is out of the
way (or you have to spend a solid
45 minutes unpicking it so as to
not damage the towel). I tried out
four different pairs of shoes (flip
flops, fake Converse “Chucks”,
jean tennis shoes {with Winnie
the Pooh embroidered on the
sides!}, and regular Nike tennis
shoes). The Nikes are tied with the
“Chucks”. I will have to wear them
both next week on alternating
days to see which is the best
(because as my body gets used
to being on its feet all day, I can’t
be sure if the shoes are working
better or if I am just getting used
to it!)
