double headers from the same schools, but after that
it is possible that up to four different schools could

“great character.”
The team has faced challenges sometimes this year
getting their offense clicking, but it didn’t show in
the Lakeland game. The team has had some trouble
executing their half court offense so far this season
according to Carpenter. She also feels like they need
to improve on putting teams away in close games.
However, the problems for the Warriors are very
fixable and can be worked out.
“I think we’re going to get stronger in our half court
offense,” says a confident Carpenter who also believes
in her teammates. “Our team, dominantly seniors, will
pull together and repeat as sectional champions.”
With the confidence problem out of the way,
anything is possible for the Lady Warriors if they
continue to play the way they did against Lakeland.

Coach Yoder, the team can play deep into the post

Before the game, junior Skyler Carpenter was very
focused on the Lakeland game. “If we can beat them,
we will accomplish the county sweep, both Prairie
Heights and Lakeland, and then later Fairfield. It’s
always all out against them and never an easy game
by any means.”
The season has been a little difficult so far, but
things seem to be heading in the right direction. The
Warriors have a veteran team this year boasting seven
seniors and four juniors who coach Yoder believes has
