SPORTS SCOOP — continued from previous page
“I think we have a chance to go pretty far, but the
only way we can do that is if we work hard everyday in
practice and continue to improve to be our best when
sectionals arrive,” said Wagler.
The Warriors are a highly experienced team and
the leaders seem to have their head on a swivel. The
senior leadership of the team also seems to be providing
some guidance to another player on the team. Junior
Adrian Brandenberger has been playing with more
effort according to Wagler. “He has been showing
in practice how well of a scorer and defender he is. I
think down the stretch he will be a key for us to step
in and do it in games.”
With senior leadership rubbing off on the
underclassmen the Warriors should be able to go a
long way.
The early season success seems to be giving confidence to the team which will provide major help down
the road. The games coming up for the Warriors are a
list of conference games which the team is ready for.
“Conference games are always big. We enjoy competing against the big schools on our schedule. We are
constantly trying to improve for our sectional games,”
said coach Yoder.
Senior Seth Wagler feels the same about the
upcoming games as well. “We’re just trying to focus
on our up and coming conference games because we
know after the next couple of weeks we’ll be able to
see who the top teams are in the conference and we
hope to be at the top.”
