Carrie Chupp is not the loudest girl
at Westview, but she isn’t afraid to tell
you her opinion when asked. She values hard work and getting what needs
to be done, completed. However, she
isn’t business all the time.
She has played volleyball at
Westview her entire high school
career. She has made many long lasting friendships that she will carry on
past her days in Emma. Also during
high school, she has been a part of the
National Honor Society, National Art
Honor Society, Spanish Club, Student
Council, and Prom Committee.
Chupp has been playing volleyball
year-round since 5th grade. “I always
loved the challenges of each game. The
relationships of my teammates made
it easier to laugh off any hardships
and keep playing.” The reason she has
enjoyed volleyball so much besides the
fact that she loves to play the game
has been her teammates as she previously pointed out. “The best part about
playing sports for Westview has been
getting to know my classmates on a
different level.”
Her coaches have also been a big
aid to her success. “They have mentioned other volleyball leagues so I can
play year-round to better myself. They
always knew what was best and I’m so
glad I listened to their advice.”
Chupp’s favorite high school
memory was winning sectionals this
past season. “Winning sectionals was
definitely my favorite memory. We
hadn’t won in eleven years and it was
good to go out with a bang.”
