CrossRoads RV Expansion
CrossRoads RV and the LaGrange
County Economic Development Corporation, in conjunction with the Town
of Topeka, are excited to announce the
expansion of CrossRoads RV in Topeka.
CrossRoads RV manufactures
fifth-wheel and towable RV’s are
known throughout the RV world for
featuring many attributes that were
previously only available in more
expensive units. CrossRoads RV, a division of Thor Industries, is headquartered in Topeka, IN, where they also
produce their units. This project will
provide a new home for the Cruiser
brand lineup of CrossRoads RV.
The project will include the purchase of land and the construction
of a new 93,000 square feet facility
adjacent to their existing campus in
Topeka. The project is expected to support the creation of up to 250 new jobs
paying at least $25 an hour in addition
to the retention of 613 current employees at the facilities.
The Town of Topeka council, at
the request of the LaGrange County
Economic Development Corporation,
will consider the use of tax abatements
on the investment into the new facility
and equipment, estimated to be valued
at around $3.9 million dollars in total.
The State of Indiana also is supporting
the project through the use of up to
$2.25 million in EDGE tax credits and
through the use of training assistance
through WorkOne Northeast. The LaGrange County Economic Development
Corporation will support the project
through a $50,000 grant from the LaGrange County Investment Fund.
