A large contingent of local folks, as well as tourists, was in attendance on Saturday, July 14 for the event. The crowd enjoyed ice cream that was made by a horse-driven treadmill and steam engines, a hog roast and free music performed by local area talent. The public is invited to the 8th annual Old Fashion Farming Days hosted by Mervin & Edna Yoder, this weekend, Friday and Saturday, July 27-28. This event is a wonderful opportunity to see and learn about the past. It is a fun way for the younger generations to see how things were do ne in generations past. Some activities will include an original grain reaper, wheat binder, wheat threshing, and many more. There are even plenty of interesting activities for the kids. Admission is free on Friday after 2 pm and through the evening and on Sat., the cost is $5 for 12 years old and older, younger children may enter free.
