Part of the safety curriculum is to understand how to safely handle firearms of many different operating actions. LaGrange County Parks uses non-firing training guns to familiarize aspiring sportsmen and sportswomen with proper handling habits. This completes the Park’s non-firing training gun kit. “Safe arms of realistic size and weight are very helpful in the classroom,” said Park Interpretive Naturalist Scott Beam. “Developing safe habits is critical before going hunting.” Left to Right: LaGrange County Pheasants Forever members Mike Holcomb and Dave Arrington and LaGrange County Parks Interpretive Naturalist Scott Beam.
