Fourth Graders Donate to Love Bundles
Mrs. Sandy Clark and her brother
Tony Troyer, came to teach the students of Mrs. Bergstedt’s fourth-grade
class about Love Bundles, a project of
Children’s Lifeline, an organization
that helps children in Haiti. The children were given a presentation about
life in Haiti. Many items including
hand lotion, shampoo, toothbrushes
and other personal care products,
along with stuffed animals and
other toys, and many other items were
brought to school by Mrs. Bergstedt’s
students to be donated to Mrs. Clark’s
Haiti project. Love Bundles were filled
for both boys and girls in Haiti from
their generous donations.
Mrs. Bergstedt’s students learned
that 50% of children in Haiti die prior
to the age of 15, fifty percent of adults
in Haiti are illiterate, and Haiti is the
poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.
