REDBIRDS VICTORIOUS
The Illinois State Redbirds finished the 2018
Badger Invitational with a 9-under-par 855
total to claim victory over five teams who had
advanced to the NCAA Regionals last season,
and two to the NCAA Championships. Alumnus
David Perkins finished in a tie for third, with a
8-under-par 208 total, which is the ninth-best
single-tournament total in Badger Invitational
history. Perkins had a strong second round
which tied him for the collegiate course record,
shooting a 69 (-3) on the day. His lone above-
par number came on the final hole of the
tournament, as he snapped a 37-hole bogey-
less stretch. Fellow alumnus Trent Wallace also
finished in the top ten. Wallace, who carded a
three-day total of 213, finished T7.
DRAKE UNIVERSITY TAKES SECOND
The Drake University Women’s Golf Team
finished in second at the Loyola Invitational
at Flossmoor Country Club. Among the team
members are alumnae Grace Dunn and Haeri
Lee. Dunn carded the best third round for the
team, which moved her into a tie for 10th on
the individual leaderboard. Individually, Lee
finished in fifth after carding rounds of 75, 75
and 81.
CORWIN FINISHES IN TOP-10
AT RMAC FALL PREVIEW
Alumna Trinity Corwin lead the Regis University
Women’s Golf Team at the RMAC Fall Preview.
Corwin carded rounds of 79 and 72 giving
her a 151 total, which was good enough for a
ninth place individual finish. Her round of 72
was the low round for the team, and included
five birdies and an eagle. The team finished in
seventh place, which was ahead of nine other
RMAC schools. Corwin competed in all four
events this fall, averaging five strokes over par.
