PLAYER OF THE YEAR
The Illinois Junior Golf
Association’s Youth Development
Program regular season
concluded with the Player of the
Year Championship on August
6-7, at Lake Bluff Golf Club. Four
champions were named after 36
holes of competitive golf.
In the Boys 12-13 Division, Jason
Gordon (2023) of Northbrook, Ill.,
carded a final round of 1-under-
par 71, which moved him to the
top spot on the leaderboard with
a 5-over-par 149 tournament
total. His final round included a
bogey-free back nine. Gordon also
won the season-long Player of the

Year point race for the Boys 12-13
Division.
In the Girls 12-13 Division, Ella
Greenberg (2023) of Rockford,
Ill., took top honors after carding
rounds of 3-over-par 75 and
4-over-par 76, giving her a 7-over-
par 151 tournament total. Effie
Perakis (2023) of Glenview, Ill.,
was the season-long Player of the
Year points race champion for the
Girls 12-13 Division.
In the Boys 10-11 Division, Alex
Lee (2026) of Northbrook, Ill.,
finished the tournament four
strokes better than runner-up
Illinois Junior Golf Association
Callan Fahey (2025) of Wheaton,
Ill. Lee carded a 12-over-par 156
tournament total. Lee also earned
the top spot on the season-long
Player of the Year point race for
the Boys 10-11 Division.
In the Girls 10-11 Division, Alexis
Myers (2025) of Northbrook,
Ill., carded a 14-over-par 158
tournament total. Her final round
of 1-over-par 73 included three
birdies. Toral Bhatt (2025) of Oak
Brook, Ill., was the season-long
Player of the Year poince race
champion for the Girls 10-11
Division.
