FLAVIN NAMED
GOLFER OF THE WEEK
The Miami of Ohio Redhawks’ Patrick
Flavin is at it again, earning the Mid-
American Conference’s Men’s Golfer
of the Week. Flavin continued his
run this season with a fourth victory
in five attempts at the Dayton Flyer
Intercollegiate. His eight career
victories make Flavin the all-time leader
in individual wins at Miami.
Flavin isn’t the only IJGA alumni on the
team, Brian Ohr earned Second-Team
All-MAC honors and had a perfect 3-0
record this fall in the Mid-American
Match Play tournament. Other IJGA
alumni on the team include Charlie
Nikitas and Jack Mortell.

RECORD
Illinois Wesleyan’s Daniel Cole tied a school record with
a 6-under-par 65 to help the IWU Men’s Golf Team tie
for third in the 12 team Gordin Collegiate Classic. Cole’s
round tied the school mark set by fellow IJGA alumnus
Drew Pershing in 2016.
Other IJGA alumni on the IWU Men’sGolf team include
Andrew Abel, Will Hanson, Michael Holtz, Ben Johnson,
Skylar LeVine, Clay Miller, Austin Niesel, Jonathan Nocek,
Justin PArk, Griffin Wasz and Rob Wuethrich.
BRADLEY’S SCACCIA EARNS MEDALIST HONORS
Ally Scaccia started her final season as a
Brave with a bang by running away with
medalist honors at the season-opening
Redbird Invitational, leading her team
to a second place finish overall. This
was the second time in three collegiate
tournaments where Scaccia took home
medalist honors in 2017. She is the
seventh player in the school’s history to
win at least two individual titles during
their career.
