MEET OUR HOA ASSOCIATION MANAGER :
ALLISON OTEY
Allison Otey , our HOA Association Manager , came to us with over 15 years of combined experience in Property and HOA Management . Allison is a lifelong resident of Williamsburg and remembers when the property that Colonial Heritage sits on was the Massey Family Farm . Her background in Human Resources , construction , and years as a Paralegal , have afforded her a unique perspective when managing communities . She has spearheaded both small and largescale projects and renovations on other properties that she has managed and is already enjoying doing the same here at Colonial Heritage . One of Allison ’ s favorite things to do is interior design and decorating . She has played sports throughout her life , loves people , travel , nature , and anything outdoors , and has an adventurous spirit . Allison and her husband Larry have been married for 39 years , and have three grown children , and a dog named Chewy . Her heart is happiest when she has her whole family together .
In my first 6 months here , I felt welcomed and have genuinely enjoyed getting to know the property and the people . I have met so many residents who are enthusiastic about where they live and the community that they call home . I have been an acting liaison for the FitnWell , Landscape , Pool , and Social Committees . It is through these Committees that I have learned a wealth of information about Colonial Heritage . Getting to know all the personalities and areas of expertise that each committee member brings to the table is both fun and rewarding . We are so fortunate to have so many talents right at our fingertips that people are generous enough to share for the betterment of Colonial Heritage . Being able to utilize this diverse group of talents is priceless . I enjoy this process as there are checks and balances , challenges , collaborating with a team of people , and getting to see a project through from inception to completion .
In my job , I am challenged every day , and am very thankful for the opportunity to work with so many wonderful individuals . My Dad had a profound sense of humor that I am thankful to have inherited . He taught me that people just want to be heard and to always stay humble . One of my favorite sayings is , “ I would give you a pat on the back if your hand wasn ’ t already in the way .” Point being , you should not need to talk yourself up if your actions speak for themselves .
