Movie Review
Getting to the consolation championship
game wasn’t a walk in the park. They had to play
GHS archrival, Marble Valley. Early in the
season, the boys had played them and lost by two.
To get into the consolation championship game,
they had to beat Marble Valley. This game was
close throughout. No team was ever up by more
than two. It was a nail biter until the end. With
seconds left, Donnie G. was fouled and walked up
to the free throw line. He had to make one to tie
the game and two to win it. The first shot was
good. One more for the win. The crowd fell silent
and….
He made it! The boys pulled out a victory
through hard work, teamwork and determination.
Christian P., the game high scorer, said, “The
coaches are very proud of our team. It was a
nerve-racking game. It felt great when we beat
them because we had lost in the regular season by
two.” The JV basketball team had an AMAZING
season.

Thor the Dark World

Rating: 13.5 out of 15
I will rate these movies up to 5 points in each category,
with the highest possible rating being 20 points. The
categories will be Plot, Characters, and visuals.
Plot: Thor`s friend, Jane Foster, has accidentally
awakened the Dark Elves by absorbing the Aether. Thor
comes back to Earth and takes Jane to Asgard to cleanse
her of the Aether. The Dark Elves sense the Aether in
Jane and attack Asgard. While the Dark Elves were
attacking, huge part of Asgard was destroyed. Now Thor
has to stop The Dark Elves from getting the Aether and
prevent them from using it to turn all the dimensions to
darkness.

Characters:
Thor: Thor is a strong hero who will do anything to keep
the Nine Realms safe. Thor is played by Chris Hensworth.
Even though Thor`s brother, Loki, would do anything to
get the throne, Thor did not accept the offer because he
wants to save the nine realms from anything imaginable.
Jane Foster: Jane is an incredibly smart scientist who is
infected with the Aether after she goes meddling in some
occurrences. She is played by Natalie Portman. She goes
to the dark world with Thor to cleanse her of the Aether.
Loki: Loki is Thor`s backstabbing brother who teams up
with him to save the world. He has tried to take the throne
a lot of times but has always been stopped by Thor. He is
played by Tom Hiddleston.

Thor: The Dark World had a lot of great fight
scenes, including one in the Asgardian dungeon. The best
fight in the movie was the fight between Thor and the
leader of the Dark Elves. They keep on going through
portals to the dark world and earth. Thor loses his
hammer during the fight so it keeps on following him
