BB&T robbed; suspect arrested, charged
with robbing BB&T of $9,622 in
cash, Hammonton Police Lt.
Kevin Friel told The Gazette.
Friel, who was the arresting of-
ficer and was assisted by Officer
Renzo Mendoza, stopped Phyllis
Figueroa, 52, of Mays Landing,
following the robbery, which oc-
curred at 2:01 p.m. on December
5 at the bank branch on the 200
block of S. White Horse Pike, he
said.

HAMMONTON—During its meeting on December 5, the Hammonton
Planning Board unanimously approved a change of use variance for
Councilman Sam Rodio and his wife, Bernadette Rodio, who are seeking
to lease a detached garage on their property to a third party seeking to
use the structure to store up to five classic automobiles.

was named as one of the New Jer-
sey One Water Award winners on
November 14 for its holistic ap-
proach to water management and
conservation.
A town press release cited Ham-
monton’s residential rebate pro-
gram for water-saving devices and
its use of treated wastewater for
the irrigation of nearby woodlands
and recreational fields as two of
the areas that made it this year’s
award recipient in the New Jersey
One Water Awards’ “public sector”
