Germaine fontaine , 83 , of Winslow township , died on Sunday , November 20 , 2016 , in Virtua Health Systems in Mt . Holly .
Born in Lancaster , Ontario , Canada , she lived in this area for many years . She loved gardening and took pride in her work .
Mrs . fontaine is survived by her husband of 66 years , Philippe B . fontaine of Winslow ; her daughter and son-in-law , Jocelyne and Jorden Brown of Shamong ; one granddaughter , Lorraine Yeh and two stepgrandchildren , Lindsey and Walter Brown . family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday , December 3 , 2016 , 2:30 p . m ., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah ’ s Witnesses , 4761 US route 30 , egg Harbor City , NJ 08215 .

Charles Bartolone Jr .

Charles Bartolone Jr ., 35 , of Hammonton , died on Monday , November 21 , 2016 , at inspira Medical Center in Woodbury .
Born in Stratford , he was a lifelong Hammonton resident . Charles was a dealer at SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia . He was a computer whiz , and he really enjoyed working on them . Charles was an avid Phillies and eagles fan .
He is survived by his mother , evelyn Knoll and her husband , Ken of Hammonton ; his father , Charles Bartolone Sr . of Hammonton . He will be sadly missed by his pal and dog , roxy . family and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday , November 26 , 2016 , in St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish Church of St . Joseph ’ s , 226 french St ., Hammonton . Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery , Hammonton . arrangements made by the Carnesale funeral Home , Hammonton .

Richard R . Tratta

richard r . tratta , 71 , of Braddock , died on November 21 , 2016 . richard was born in Camden , having moved to Hammonton at age 11 . He graduated from Hammonton High School where he excelled in baseball . He was a proud Operating engineer Local 825 for more than 40 years . richard was a great family man and avid hunter and will be missed by many . richard is survived by his daughter , Johnna tratta of Braddock ; his wife , Nancy ( DiMeo ) tratta ; his brother , robert ( Jeanne ) tratta of Hammonton ; his niece , Gina Vitullo of Hammonton ; his greatnephews , Dominic and Daniel Vitullo ; and many cousins and friends . relatives and friends attended funeral Services on Saturday ,

Marlene J . Perrone

Marlene J . ( nee Bossi ) Perrone , 74 , died peacefully , surrounded by family on November 26 , 2016 , after a lengthy illness .
She was a part-time resident of both Hammonton and Millinocket , Maine . a graduate of Vineland High School , class of 1960 , Marlene then attended fairleigh Dickinson University and Glassboro State College , graduating in 1965 with a degree in social work . She dedicated her life to helping children and families , working for the Division of Youth and family Services for 32 years , retiring in 1998 . Marlene enjoyed the simple things in life : reading , doing puzzles , working in her gardens and a good “ rusty nail .” Some of her fondest memories include her trip to Sicily with her daughter and son-in-law , Marla and Greg , her trip to europe with her brother and sister , enjoying her lake house in Maine , celebrating traditions with her family , traveling with her husband , Mike , and cheering on her seven grandchildren at their games , meets , performances and plays .
Marlene was predeceased by her parents , Paul Peter and frances Helen Bossi , and her brother , Paul Dennis Bossi . Marlene is survived by her husband of 49 years , Michael f . Perrone ; her children , Michele DiBona and her husband , Mike of Millinocket , Maine , Marla Kettinger and husband , Greg of Philadelphia , Pa ., Micki Gonzalez and husband , Sam of Mason , Ohio , and Monica Newton and husband , James r .; her grandchildren , Michael and Mark DiBona , Gianna and Sammy Gonzalez and Leah , Lily and Ben Newton ; her sister , Kathleen Poole and her husband , al ; her sister-in-law , Marlene Bossi , as well as many special nieces , nephews , cousins and other relatives and friends . a private memorial service will be held . treNtON — atlantic County vegetable producer august Wuillermin , of Hammonton , is one of three new members of the New Jersey State Board of agriculture . the New Jersey State Board of agriculture installed Dan farrand , ed Overdevest and Wuillermin to four-year terms on November 16 during its meeting held at the New Jersey Department of agriculture building . farrand , Overdevest and Wuillermin were elected by the delegates at the february 2016 State agricultural Convention for recommendation to the Governor for nomination and later confirmed by the State Senate .
“ Dan farrand , ed Overdevest and august Wuillermin are great additions to the State Board of agriculture , demonstrating the diversity of New Jersey ’ s agriculture industry . they bring their vast knowledge and experience to the board , which sets policy for the industry throughout the entire state ,” New Jersey Secretary of agriculture Douglas H . fisher said .
Wuillermin manages a 350-acre farm with his brother ed Wuillermin Jr . august Wuillermin is past president and vice-president of the atlantic County Board of agriculture . He is also a voting delegate on the New Jersey farm Bureau , is on the farm Bureau board of directors and is on the board of managers for the rutgers New Jersey agricultural education association .

August Wuillermin named to state board

Dolores Lida Erne

Dolores Lida ( nee Smith ) erne , 82 , of elm , died peacefully on thursday , November 17 , 2016 , at the Heritage assisted Living facility in Hammonton .
She was born in Baltimore , Md ., to Leonard and Dorothy Smith . Dolores was a graduate of Upper Darby High School in Pa . and acquired some college credits in New Jersey . She grew up in Pennsylvania and later lived in New Jersey , then for a time in florida before returning to New Jersey and finally taking up residence in elmtowne Village , a retirement community near Hammonton .
Over the years , Dolores worked as a secretary for different employers both in florida and New Jersey until retiring . after retiring , she devoted her attention to her aged parents , tending to their needs until they both passed away : her mother , Dorothy in 1989 , and her father , Leonard in 2001 . Dolores was a longtime member of the Canoe Club in Hammonton where she enjoyed interacting with other members and visitors .
She is survived by her daughter , elaine Lange ; her son , David erne ; her brothers , Leonard and robert ; her grandchildren , Melissa , Christopher , Jamie and great-grandchildren Brayden , ashley and Gina . following her passing , Dolores was taken to the Leroy P . Wooster funeral Home & Crematory in atco . Burial was in Manahath Cemetery in Glassboro . arrangements made by the Leroy P . Wooster funeral Home & Crematory . the State Board of agriculture comprises eight members who serve for four years , with two members being replaced each year . 13th annual Gazette Cookie Bake-Off is Thurs ., Dec . 8

“ People love cookies at Christmastime , and as a sports guy , i like competition , so it seemed like a good fit ,” russoman said .
Here ’ s how The Gazette Cookie Bake-Off works : to enter , each contestant needs to submit 1 dozen cookies by 5 p . m . on thursday , December 8 along with a recipe . entries should be dropped off at The Gazette offices at 233 Bellevue ave . there is no entry fee . the winning cookie recipes will be printed in the December 14 edition of The Gazette . Contestants must sign a release allowing the Gazette to print their recipes . a panel of judges from the community will select the winners in each category . the categories are as follows : chocolate chip , holiday cookies , pizzelle & bar cookies and other . Categories will be judged on : taste ( 50 percent ), appearance ( 25 percent ) and originality ( 25 percent ). the rules are as follows : all cookies must be homemade . recipes must be provided to validate authenticity and for content . Contestants may enter all categories . the contest is open to the public , children bakers welcome . there is no age limit . for more information , call The Gazette at 704-1940 .
