Board votes to move to previous league for 2020-21 school year

HaMMONtON—On November 14,
Hammonton Board of education held its
monthly meeting, during which it was an-
nounced that the Hammonton School Dis-
trict would be leaving the tri-County Con-
ference and accepting membership to the
Cape atlantic League beginning in the sum-
mer of 2020.

meeting to order. Board members al Pangia
and John thomas were absent from the
meeting.

from Hammonton Middle School (HMS)
principal Dr. Mike Nolan on the newest
programs and achievements in his school.
“Starting this year, the eighth grade class
had a choice to take one of four options for
their cycle classes. the students had a
choice to take accelerated Spanish i, Band
i or Chorus i. each of these offerings are
full-year electives. the fourth choice was to
take a variety of classes of all four cycles
that are traditionally offered to our students;
here they would take Spanish, SteaM,
Digital arts and Digital Cinema, each for a
marking period,” Nolan said.

HaMMONtON—On Novem-
ber 13, the Hammonton environ-
mental Commission held its
monthly meeting at 7 p.m. in town
hall.
Matt Gerwein of atlantic City
electric appeared before the com-
mission regarding its application
package for the removal of 11
trees and some brush around
Hammonton that were a hazard
for power lines.
Gerwein noted that several trees
in the application were no longer
necessary.
