Campione-Lemons Alice A. “Pinky” Campione - Lemons, 66, of Hammonton died peace- fully at home on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. Born in Hammonton she was a lifelong resident there. Alice enjoyed gardening, being outdoors and going to the beach, but her greatest love was spending time with her family—especially her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Carmen and Mary Lou Campione Sr. and her companion, John A. DiMeglio. She is survived by her two daughters, Cristina Lemons (Jimmy fedga) of Vineland and Kelly Smith (Brian) of Hammonton; five grandchildren, Samantha, Brian Jr., Sean, Gianna and Patricka; two brothers, Carmen Campione Jr. ( Dolly) of elm, Anthony Campione of florida and one sister, Cindy Campione of florida. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on November 12, 2018 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish—St. Joseph Church. Burial followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. She was a member of the elm Town Home Owners Association. Being a frequent casino player, she enjoyed arranging bus trips for the elm Town residents. She read the Courier-Post newspaper every day and was an avid reader and a follower of the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia eagles teams. earlier in life she enjoyed gardening, bowling and vacations to Wildwood Crest. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, John O. Borek; brothers, Theodore and Al rakowski, and sister, Claire Bannister. Priestley Jr., age 98, of Hammonton died peacefully on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees. He was born and raised in elm and graduated from Hammonton High School in 1940. Herman was an army veteran of World War ii. He served in europe as a supply sergeant with the 278th engineer Combat Battalion. following his military service, Herman and his wife Lorraine (Brown) resided in Stratford, N.J. where they raised their family. Herman was em- ployed by Philadelphia electric Company where he worked in the finan- cial department and retired in 1988. in his later years Herman moved to Hammonton where he enjoyed spending time with his family and recon- necting with high school classmates and meeting new friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Herman and Sadie Priestley; beloved wife, Lorraine of 51 years; brother, David Albert Priestley, and his loving companion of 14 years, Mary Kryvoruka. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather and is survived by his daughter, Peggy rizzotte (John); son, robert Priestley (Debra); grandchil- dren, Kevin rizzotte (erin), Matthew rizzotte, Stephanie Burchett (Drew), Christa Priestley (David), Andrea Birchler and great-grandchildren, Grayson rizzotte, Layne and Wieland Burchett, emma and Beau Priestley, Max and Judah Birchler. Born in Philadelphia, she moved to Mays Landing in 1984. Susanna worked for Atlantic County as a Librarian at the Hammonton Library for more than eight years and retired from the Mays Landing Library. Surviving are her son, John Marko; brothers, Peter Jamack and John Jamack; sisters, Anna Jamack and Bernice Tarbotton. Walker was charged with two counts of possession, one count of possession of cds marijuana and one count of possession of a schedule i, ii, iii or iV narcotic. He was also charged with distri- bution of cds, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful posses- sion of a weapon while in the course of committing, attempting to commit or conspiring to com- mit cds violation under New Jer- sey statutes, Slimm said. “He was later released pending a court appearance,” Slimm said. Police also made the following arrests last week, according to Slimm: • On November 6 at 1:06 p.m., Jose Barreto, 42, of Landisville, was arrested on the 100 block of e. Orchard Street on an outstand- ing warrant from Cumberland County, Slimm said. He was transported to the At- lantic County Jail and the arrest- ing officer was Detective Peter Hagerty, Slimm said. • On November 7 at 6:51 p.m., frank Soto, 48, of Pleasantville, was found walking in the middle of the street on the 400 block of N. Washington Street, Slimm said. He said he had a head injury and was disoriented, Slimm said. Soto was treated on scene but re- fused further medical treatment, Slimm said. Soto was found to be in posses- sion of controlled dangerous sub- stance believed to be heroin, as well as a syringe, Slimm said. He also had two outstanding National Crime information Center (NCiC) warrants, Slimm said. He was charged with possession of cds suspected heroin and pos- session of a syringe, Slimm said. Slimm said Soto was trans- ported to the Atlantic County Jail. Slimm said Officer Jason rigby was the arresting officer. • On November 7 at 7:46 p.m., edward Hadley, 41, of Collings- wood was arrested in the area of the 100 block of Bellevue Avenue, Slimm said. Hadley was arrested on an out- standing warrant from Cherry Hill in the amount of $1,000, Slimm said. He was processed and released pending a court date in Hammon- ton Joint Municipal Court, Slimm said. Sgt. Sam Angello iii was the arresting officer, Slimm said. • On November 10 at 4:55 p.m., a suspicious person call was made to the Hammonton Police Depart- ment because there appeared to be a drug transaction taking place on the street between an unidentified male walking out of the woods to a white Honda Accord occupied by two females, Slimm said. “The initial call came out for the area of Judy’s Court and 11th Street. The vehicle was stopped in the 400 block of S. egg Harbor road,” Slimm said. Taylor Capaldi, 26, of egg Har- bor City was the driver of the ve- hicle, Slimm said. She was found to have a $750 warrant from Mul- lica Twp., and was able to post $75 and was released pending court, Slimm said. HSH Open House December 1 The Historical Society of Hammonton will be hosting their annual Christmas Open House on Saturday, December 1 in conjunction with the town’s tree lighting. Stop by the museum located at 333 Vine St. from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and enjoy the displays of the town’s railroad history. View incredible vintage railroad artifacts, model trains from pre- and post-WWii, realistic models of trains thru town, antique 1920-1950s children’s ride-on trains and an operating holiday train layout. in addition, Hammonton Towne Drama will also be performing at the museum. Watch for information in January, 2019 regarding the Historical Society’s next paver project. Members are currently collecting names of those interested in purchasing a paver. The Historical Society is open every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon, and the first Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon.
