ing up the leaves themselves.
Ben Castone, owner of Ben Castone Landscaping, said most
landscapers use backpack blowers
and other standard leaf blowers to
clean up the leaves that are scattered on properties.
“I would say most people use
the backpack blowers. You rake it
all on a tarp, and then you put it
out onto the street. That is pretty
much it. You have to use a rake
here and there, but not too many
people use rakes anymore,” Castone said.
According to Castone, he feels
the majority of homeowners prefer
to use a landscaping service during fall cleanup periods so it can
be done the proper way.
“A lot of people wait until all
the leaves fall down. For me, half
of my customers wait until they all
fall and the other half will have me
come a couple of times so it isn’t
so bad. Some houses that we do
have big oak trees, so if you wait
for them to all fall we would be
there for three or four days cleaning up. We do it a couple of times
in those cases because it will be
easier for us to do it,” Ca 7F
