1988. He spent 20 years in the
Hammonton School District as a
teacher, administrator and coach.
He is currently a superintendent in
the Stratford and Laurel Springs
School District and his wife is employed at the Hammonton School
District.
“this is a civic duty that i truly
believe in. i believe in education
and take great pride in this profession. it has been an honor being a
board member for these first three
years. i think, in your first year on
the board, you’re assessing the
culture and where the school district is. i think, once you assess
things after that first term, you
have a better idea how you can
help guide and lead your district in
your second term … two things i
would like to get involved in and
take some guidance in are seeing
the class sizes become a little
smaller at the primary level — i
think they’re a little too big —
[and] i would also like to see if
there’s a way we could put more
electives back into classrooms at
the high school level. As a superintendent i get it, not everyone is
college bound, and i want to make
sure we have different avenues for
kids to pursue,” Attanasi said.
Attanasi’s fellow incumbent,
Petetti, has spent three-and-a-half
years as a board member. Petetti
has lived in Hammonton for 38
years. He and his wife, tracy,
have two children together, a son
and a daughter. Unlike Attanasi,
Pete GF
