HAMMONTON – A three-car accident at the intersection of Peach Street and Valley
Avenue occurred at 1:52 p.m. on October 11, Hammonton Police Lt. Mark Fiorentino said.
Rose Berenato, 77, of Hammonton was driving a white 2006 Buick and was stopped at
the stop sign on Peach Street when she began to pull into the intersection and struck the
rear driver’s side tire of a red 2011 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Donna DemeliaNeill, 51, of Elmer who was driving east on Valley Avenue, Fiorentino said.
After the first impact, the pickup truck struck a green 2000 four-door Saturn parked facing west on Valley Avenue owned by Mary Richards, Fiorentino said. The car was parked
in front of her residence, Fiorentino said.
All three vehicles were towed from the scene and there were no injuries, Fiorentino said.
A summons for failure to yield was issued to Berenato, Fiorentino said.
The accident is being investigated by Officer Ryan Witczak, Fiorentino said.
5 injured in Oct. 12 crash

HAMMONTON—The Hammonton Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating a two-vehicle crash where five people
sustained injuries, according to a release issued by Hammonton Police Cpl. James
Pinto.
Police received a call at approximately 3:49 p.m. on October 12 in
reference to a motor vehicle crash
that occurred at the intersection of
the White Horse Pike (Route 30)
and Moss Mill Road, Pinto said in
the release.
