Philip DeMarco , a lifelong resident of Hammonton , NJ passed peacefully at his home on September 10 , 2022 .
He was predeceased by his father , Rocco P . DeMarco ; his birth mother , Elizabeth DeMarco , and his loving mother , Minnie DeMarco .
Philip is survived by his sister , Sharon DeSefano ; her husband , Ernest ; his nephew , Dominic DeStefano ; his friend , Chris King ; his niece Raquel DeStefano ; her husband , Michael Sweeney and his great-nephew , Michael Ernest Sweeney . Also surviving Philip , are his two aunts and many cousins .

Phillip Salvatore Nunzio
Phillip Salvatore Nunzio , 75 , of Hollywood , Fla ., passed away on September 7 2022 . Phillip was born in Hammonton , New Jersey on November 3 , 1946 .
He graduated from Hammonton High School and joined the Navy . Phillip worked in sales management for most of his life and has been retired for more than 10 years . He enjoyed traveling , sports and spending Sundays with his family .
Phillip is survived by his son , Phillip Salvatore Nunzio Jr .; his wife , Christine Nunzio and grandchildren , Cassandra and Mariyah ; his daughter , AnnMarie Baker ; her husband , James Baker and grandchildren , Ashlyn , Brittany , Chelsea , Toni and Ricky , his daughter Carmel Ann Nunzio , grandchildren Giovanni , Dante and Kevin Jr .; and his son , Salvatore Price . He is also survived by his sisters , Theresa Carmichael and Concetta Tomasello as well as 4 great-grandchildren and other family and friends . Phillip is preceded in death , by his father Salvatore Nunzio and motherm Mary Nigro . A viewing will be held on Friday , September 16 from 6 p . m . to 8 p . m . and again on Saturday , September 17 from 8:30 a . m . until 9:30 a . m . at the Carnesale Funeral Home , 202 S . Third St ., Hammonton . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday , September 17 , 10 a . m . at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish Church of St . Joseph ’ s , 226 French St ., Hammonton . Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery .

Nicole Papadopoulos
Nicole Papadopoulos , 18 of Hammonton , passed away unexpectedly Wednesday , August 31 , 2022 .
Nicole was born and raised in Hammonton . She enjoyed cooking , fashion , beauty , music , going to the beach and spending time with family and friends .
She is predeceased by her father , Nicholas Papadopoulos ; her grandparents , Richard and Theresa Lanza ; grandfather , George Papadopoulos and her step-sister Madison Varvarezis .
Nicole is survived by her mother , Lori Varvarezis ; her brother , Vinny Papadopoulos ; her aunt , Amy Hunter ( Chris ); uncle , Richard Lanza ( Lynn ); her grandmother , Kalliopi Papadopoulos ; uncle , Anthony Papadopoulos ( Paula ) and many loving cousins , friends , and her loving boyfriend . Joseph Anthony Logiovino
Joseph Anthony “ Jukebox Joe ”, “ Pepper ” Logiovino , 87 of Galloway Township passed away on Friday , September 9 , 2022 .
Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong resident of the South Jersey area . He had worked for Logan Amusements in Hammonton and Terminal Vending in Camden . He enjoyed repairing and working on pool tables , jukeboxes and pin ball machines . Joe was a member of the Red Cross in Pleasantville , the Moose Lodge in Hammonton and My Brother ’ s Keeper in Camden .
He was predeceased by his parents , Rocco and Sadie Logiovino ; his sisters , Mary Logiovino , Irene LoSasso , Gloria Perone and Rose Cabrera and his brother , Rocco Logiovino .
He is survived by two sisters , Ruth Carson of Florida , Joan Salway ( Seymour ) of Galloway Twp . and many nieces , nephews , great-nieces , great-nephews , cousins and friends .
A viewing will be held on Thursday , September 15 , 2022 from 10 a . m . to 11 a . m . at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish Church of St . Joseph ’ s , 226 French Street in Hammonton , where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a . m . Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery , 124 S . First Road in Hammonton .

Man hurt in road rage incident

HAMMONTON — Last week there was damage on two separate road repair jobs being done by Think Pavers , which was contracted by the town to do infrastructure and roadwork on School House Lane ( Vine Street ) and Valley Avenue , Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said .
Friel said the stormwater system on School House Lane had not been closed and sealed , and the town received a substantial amount of rain , which caused the backflows to some buildings in that area of School House Lane , Friel said .
“ They have some water appliances that are below street level , and that caused that backflow pressure
punched the driver ’ s side rear window of the vehicle in front of him , Friel said .
The other driver suffered small lacerations on his right wrist from the broken glass , Friel said .
Sosov was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters , Friel said . He was charged with criminal mischief and released pending a court appearance in Hammonton Joint Municipal Court , Friel said .
Friel said Officer Renzo Mendoza was the arresting officer .

Later in the week , Friel said , Think Pavers struck a gas main while working on Valley Avenue .
“ They struck a four-inch gas main , causing a gas leak for a period of time , because it cannot be closed off except by South Jersey Gas . South Jersey Gas came out and did the bypass they needed to remedy the situation . Hammonton Police , the Hammonton Volunteer Fire Department and AtlantiCare EMS all responded . Police and fire conducted an evacuation for safety purposes . The area was evacuated for a short duration of time while awaiting the completion of South Jersey Gas ’ work , which was about an hour ’ s time ,” Friel said .
