Rita A . Christopher

Rita A . Christopher , 96 , of Hammonton , passed away Thursday , August 25 , 2022 , at Samaritan Hospice in Mt . Holly , NJ .
Rita was born and raised in Hammonton , and in later years resided with her niece , Pam Raymond , and family in Moorestown , NJ . She graduated from Hammonton High School in 1943 , and studied music at Temple University . Rita retired from New Jersey Bell Telephone in 1983 , after working 37 years with the company . She was a member of Soroptimist International .
Rita had a prodigious gift for piano , and mastered an extensive range of classical works from an early age . She especially delighted in performing Italian opera for her father , who himself was musically gifted . She was known for her exquisite taste in clothing , fine cuisine , and chocolate . Most important to her was her Catholic faith . She had an unfailing devotion to the Blessed Mother and Holy Rosary , which she was prompt to offer for anyone in special need .
She is predeceased by her parents , Joseph and Lucy ( née Valentino ) Christopher , her siblings , Elizabeth McKillop ( Mac ), Domenic “ Tommy ” Christopher ( Martha ), Angie Tomasello ( Anthony ), Salvatore Christopher , Carmine “ Anthony ” Christopher ( Helen ), Marie Tamaccio ( Anthony ), and Patricia Ordille ( William ).
Rita is survived by her sister , Dolores Ricca ( Cosimo ), and many loving nieces , nephews , and cousins .
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at 10:15 a . m ., Tuesday , September 6 , 2022 , at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish-St Joseph Church . A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a . m . Burial will be at Greenmount Cemetery , 124 S . First Road , Hammonton , NJ . In lieu of flowers , donations can be made to St . Mary of Mt . Donna J . Ingram

Donna J . Ingram ( nee Esposito ), 69 , of Hammonton passed away on Sunday , August 21 , 2022 at her residence after a lengthy illness .
Born in Philadelphia , she was a lifelong Hammonton resident . Donna was a retired bus driver for Hammonton Public Schools . She was her children ’ s number one cheerleader in all the activities they did . Her number one priority was being a mom to them .
Donna is predeceased by her son , Gregory R . Ingram ; her parents , Joseph and Rita Esposito ; and her brother , Paul Esposito .
She is survived by her husband , Gregg W . Ingram ; her four daughters and their spouses , Jaime and Pete Benedetti , Rachel and Frank Intessimoni , Meghann and William Greineisen ; and Lindsay and David Ringlaben ; her sister , Vickie McLaughlin and her husband Jeff ; her brother , Lee Esposito and his wife Mary ; her sister-in-law , Susan Esposito ; and her seven grandchildren , Dominic , Nicholas and Olivia Benedetti , Rocco and Scarlet Intessimoni , Vivianna Ingram and Forest Greineisen .

Richard ( Rick ) Caruso

Richard ( Rick ) Caruso , 69 , of Suwannee , Ga . passed away on Tuesday , August 16 , after a vigilant fight with lung cancer . He was a devoted and loving husband to Millicent ( Giavelli ) Caruso and cherished family friend of 40 years to Robin Klamfoth .
Rick was born on July 19 , 1953 to Leonard and Elizabeth Caruso in Hammonton , N . J . After graduating from Hammonton High School , he moved to Florida and eventually to the Atlanta , Ga . area . Rick became a successful business owner of Southern Contract Services , a building services company .
Rick met his future wife in 1993 , and they were married in 2008 . They lived in Suwannee , Ga . and enjoyed road trips , antiquing on the weekends and traveling . Rick was very creative and spent time renovating and updating his homes over the years . As an animal lover , Rick had many beloved pets . He was a true friend and generously offered his time and expertise to anyone in need .
Rick is predeceased by his parents , Leonard and Elizabeth Caruso ; son , Ricky ; brothersin-law , Abie , Jim and Bob ; and his nephews , Jamie and Gary .
Rick is survived by his spouse , Millicent ( Giavelli ) Caruso ; longtime family friend , Robin Klamfoth ; sisters , Helen LoSasso , Evelyn Gulkow ( Al ), Dorothy Silipino and Rose Crescenzo ; and his brother , Lenny Caruso ( Beverly ). He leaves many beloved nieces and nephews .
Services and burial at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton , N . J . were private and held at the convenience of the family .

Traffic was rerouted from the White Horse Pike onto side streets as a result of the closure of the pike , filling those streets with traffic temporarily .
The accident is under investigation , and there are no charges at this time , Friel said .
Friel said Sgt . Jonathan O ’ Neil is the investigating officer .
In other police news , a check on a parked vehicle at 12:46 a . m . on August 23 at Central Avenue and White Horse Pike ( Route 30 ) led to an arrest , Friel said .
“ A vehicle was observed parked on the shoulder of the pike ,” Friel said .

Ann E . Stafford

Ann E . Stafford , 83 , of Hammonton , passed away peacefully Friday , August 26 , 2022 at home . She was born in Washington , DC and has resided in Hammonton for more than 50 years . Ann graduated with her Masters Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University and was the Director of Social Services at the Vineland Developmental Center .
Ann is predeceased by her husband Harry J . Stafford , and her parents George and Elizabeth Heale .
She is survived by her sons ; John and Steven Stafford , and her sister Catherine Allin . Loving grandmother of Nicholas Stafford , Eric King , Sarah Stafford , and Renee Deweber , Alejandra Echiveria , Alicia Petrilli and Shields Marenco . Her loving family was further blessed with 8 greatgrandchildren .

vehicle , was found to have an outstanding warrant in the amount of $ 1,000 from Atlantic County Joint Municipal Court , Friel said . Mack-Jones was released pending a court date .
Officer Travis Hoffman was the arresting officer , Friel said .
Also , police made a drug arrest at 12:46 a . m . on August 24 on the prime block of N . Washington Street , Friel said .
Officer Travis Hoffman observed a female subject smoking a glass pipe on the steps of a building , Friel said .
The subject was identified as Jimi Napolitano , 56 , of Hammonton , Friel said .
“ She handed over a burnt glass pipe containing methamphetamine ,” Friel said .
She was placed under arrest , transported to police headquarters for processing and charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia , Friel said . She was released pending a court appearance in Hammonton Joint Municipal Court , Friel said .
Friel said Hoffman was the investigating and arresting officer .
This report is comprised of arrests and investigations made by the men and women of local enforcement . All suspects and arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law .
