The board granted the HYSA use of a six-acre site on the grounds of the high school for the fall season. A long-term use of facilities plan for the HYSA may be discussed at a later point, according to board sources. School Board President Sam Mento III updated the board on the HVAC project in the middle school. “I have a couple updates, first off the middle school. The new cafeteria’s ‘served’ sign has been installed, it is complete. This afternoon I spent some time over at the middle school and I am very happy to say the A Wing HVAC was turned on for the very first time and is functioning properly. Tomorrow both the B Wing and the East C Wing will be turned on … And then the beginning of next week will be the opposite C, the West end; the science labs and the cafeteria. In a good seven to 10 days, we should have the rest fired up,” Mento said. The second reading and adoption for the use of facilities for the Hammonton Hawks for the use of William T. Capella Field, was approved. The board unanimously approved the following, as stated on the agenda: • purchase order lists for June 2015 in the amount of $124,668. • purchase order lists for July 2015 in the amount of $35,869,367.84. • additional bill list for August 2015 in the amount of $86,240.80. • additional bill list for August 2015 in the amount of $408,423.76. • check lists July/August 2015 in the amount of $901,132.36. • Capital Project Fund check list for August 2015 in the amount of $996.482.47.
