David Charles Ltd. store man- ager tonianne Perry said business has been relatively strong in re- cent years, alluding to the per- ceived engagement boom among younger, millennial customers— many of which have seemed to become increasingly interested in a more simplistic, classic engage- ment ring design. “it has gone back to the classics ... the classics would be just more of the stone with the solitaire set- ting, not so much of the halo any- more,” Perry said. Brand Jewelers owner anthony Brandolini said millennials seek- ing engagement rings often bring in jewelry that was passed down from their parents and grandpar- ents. Because of this trend, Brand specializes in customizing and restoring old jewelry. “they always seem to want something that you don’t have, like they want something special, they want to create something and that’s what we do. We take old jewelry and make it into some- thing that they like … We do a lot of that with our customers here because a lot of the people here in town and this area are older peo- ple transferring their jewelry over to their kids,” Brandolini said. David Charles Ltd. and Brand Jewelers are similarly cognizant of the local consumer and strives to keep each one coming back with its personalized customer service. “We treat every customer like gold and no job is too small or complex for our in-house bench jeweler,” Brandolini said. “We want you to be family with us. i don’t just want to see you once. We want to form a friend- ship and a relationship where when you go to some places that are more chain stores, you’ve got somebody that doesn’t know, reading off of a tag,” Perry said. Both local jewelers remain cur- rent on the latest trends in wed- ding bands as well, which have transitioned from the traditional Now carrying Blush by Hayley Paige and Maggie Sottero We carry gorgeous dresses by: One Sindoni Lane, Suite C, Hammonton (609) 270-7886 • www.meadowsbridalshop.com Hayley Paige, Maggie Sottero Casablanca, Mori Lee, and so much more!
