HAMMONTON—The Blueberry Capital of the World celebrated a
different Jersey-fresh fruit on July 30: the peach.
Hammonton’s fourth annual Peach Party “painted the town peach”
and drew in a large crowd to the parking lot behind Bellevue Bagel Café,
Casciano Coffee Bar & Sweetery and Action Travel.
Many local businesses and bakeries came out to celebrate peaches,
offering a wide variety of peach-inspired food, drinks and décor. There
were also games, contests and live music for attendees to enjoy.
One such peach-themed contest was the peach pie-baking contest, in
which contestants were asked to bake their best peach pie.
The winner was renee Krell, of Hammonton, a second-time contestant in the pie-baking contest.
