Julius “Ca esar” Berenato
Julius “Caesar” Berenato, 85, died July 24, 2018 at the University of
Pennsylvania Hospital surrounded by his family.
Caesar was born in Hammonton and a lifelong resident. He was a 1950
graduate of St. Joseph High School and attended Seton Hall University. He
served his country in the United States army during the Korean Conflict.
He worked as a design draftsman at several positions, including at rCa and
later as a contractor at e.i. Dupont.
Caesar is predeceased by his infant son Julius; his parents anthony Ber-
enato and anna (nee rodio) Berenato; his brother Joseph “Biddy” Berenato
and his mother-in-law Marie Wiedemer. He is survived by his wife of 60
years, Darlene (nee Wiedemer) Berenato; his son, Jeffrey Berenato and daughter-in-law Joan
Berenato of Sewell; daughter, Jill Berenato-Quinn and son-in-law William Quinn of Woolwich
twp.; his sister-in-law Judy Jiampetti and brother-in-law anthony “Chip” Jiampetti; many
nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on July 30 at St. Mary of Mt.
Carmel Parish –St. Joseph Church. Burial followed at egg Harbor City Cemetery, egg Harbor

Konstantinos Giapountzis
Konstantinos Giapountzis, 89, of Hammonton, died July 23, 2018 at at-
lantiCare regional Medical Center-City Division.
Born in agios Demetrios, Greece, he lived in Hammonton for 48 years.
Giapountzis was a tailor, having worked for Wm. B. Kessler Clothing Shop
and UBiaSportswear both in Hammonton. He was a member of the amal-
gamated Clothing Workers Union and the international Ladies Garment
Workers Union.
Giapountzis took great pride in his work and he enjoyed doing his job.
He was a member of St. anthony’s Greek Orthodox Church in Vineland for
40 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His family gave
him his greatest enjoyments in life.
Giapountzis is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, ekaterini Giapountzis (nee Viachou);
one daughter, Madeline Keramidaris and her husband, Konstantinos; two sons, Sterb Gia-
pountzis and John Giapountzis and his wife, Niki; five granddaughters, zoe (Niko), Kathy (Jim),
Nikki (Max), alex, Valerie; and three great-grandchildren, Constantine, Madeline and Vasili.

in Vineland. Burial followed in Greenmount Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to

Paul Phillip Iuliucci
Paul Phillip iuliucci, 82, lost his battle with Gioblastoma on July 25, 2018.
Born on November 1, 1935, Paul was a graduate of Hammonton High
School Class of 1954 and served in the Navy reserve. Paul was a friend to
everyone. He never knew what the word enemy meant because he never
had one. always ready to lend a hand with a smile that would light up the
sky. Paul worked for a&P Stores for 31 years holding various positions such
as dairy manager, grocery manager and produce manager. When the local
a&P store closed he held the position of parts manager for the State of NJ,
Hammonton motor pool for five years finally retiring from the South Jersey
transportation authority after nine years of service.
Paul was a charter member of the Hammonton Sons of italy Giuseppe Garibaldi Lodge
#1658, where he earned the nickname “Pauley Peanuts.” He served as a club officer and the
Chairperson of the local chapter of the “Cooley’s anemia foundation.” He also served as a past
secretary of the Hammonton Lions Club and was a member of the inskip antlers Gun Club.
His hobbies were playing pool, hunting and cooking. He loved to dance and always put on a
show at weddings, reunions and get-togethers. Wherever there was big band and 1950s music,
Paul was on the dance floor.
Paul is predeceased by his parents, Phillip and elvira (Valentino) iuliucci, mother- and fa-
ther-in-law antonio and Jennie M. tomasello; brother-in-law, thomas Kramer and uncle-in-
law, anthony Mino. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 47 years, Mary ann
(tomasello); daughter, Michele; grandchildren, Dylan and Paige; sister, Dolores (iuliucci)
Kramer; brother-in-law, tony tomasello Sr.; sister-in-law, Kathy (Kelly) tomasello; son-in-
law, Doug Souder; nephew, tony tomasello Jr. (Margarite); niece, Gina (tomasello) Morris;
great-nieces: Maddy and Sarah tomasello and Sydni Morris; two aunts from the Valentino fam-
ily; many cousins from both the iuliucci and Valentino families and many close friends who
never left his side during the most difficult of times during his illness.

and Washington Streets, Kwayme
Brown, 24, of Laurel Springs, was

for $800 and Paulsboro for $339,
friel said. Brown was released on
his own recognizance pending new
court dates, friel said.

• On July 26 at 3:35 p.m., during
a motor vehicle stop on Old forks

of education, according to the
county. Only one is an incumbent
board member.
