Julius “Ca esar” Berenato Julius “Caesar” Berenato, 85, died July 24, 2018 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital surrounded by his family. Caesar was born in Hammonton and a lifelong resident. He was a 1950 graduate of St. Joseph High School and attended Seton Hall University. He served his country in the United States army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a design draftsman at several positions, including at rCa and later as a contractor at e.i. Dupont. Caesar is predeceased by his infant son Julius; his parents anthony Ber- enato and anna (nee rodio) Berenato; his brother Joseph “Biddy” Berenato and his mother-in-law Marie Wiedemer. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Darlene (nee Wiedemer) Berenato; his son, Jeffrey Berenato and daughter-in-law Joan Berenato of Sewell; daughter, Jill Berenato-Quinn and son-in-law William Quinn of Woolwich twp.; his sister-in-law Judy Jiampetti and brother-in-law anthony “Chip” Jiampetti; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on July 30 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish –St. Joseph Church. Konstantinos Giapountzis Konstantinos Giapountzis, 89, of Hammonton, died July 23, 2018 at at- lantiCare regional Medical Center-City Division. Born in agios Demetrios, Greece, he lived in Hammonton for 48 years. Giapountzis was a tailor, having worked for Wm. B. Kessler Clothing Shop and UBiaSportswear both in Hammonton. He was a member of the amal- gamated Clothing Workers Union and the international Ladies Garment Workers Union. Giapountzis took great pride in his work and he enjoyed doing his job. He was a member of St. anthony’s Greek Orthodox Church in Vineland for 40 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His family gave him his greatest enjoyments in life. Giapountzis is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, ekaterini Giapountzis (nee Viachou); one daughter, Madeline Keramidaris and her husband, Konstantinos; two sons, Sterb Gia- pountzis and John Giapountzis and his wife, Niki; five granddaughters, zoe (Niko), Kathy (Jim), Nikki (Max), alex, Valerie; and three great-grandchildren, Constantine, Madeline and Vasili. relatives and friends attended his funeral on July 26 at St. anthony’s Greek Orthodox Church in Vineland. Paul Phillip Iuliucci Paul Phillip iuliucci, 82, lost his battle with Gioblastoma on July 25, 2018. Born on November 1, 1935, Paul was a graduate of Hammonton High School Class of 1954 and served in the Navy reserve. Paul was a friend to everyone. He never knew what the word enemy meant because he never had one. always ready to lend a hand with a smile that would light up the sky. Paul worked for a&P Stores for 31 years holding various positions such as dairy manager, grocery manager and produce manager. When the local a&P store closed he held the position of parts manager for the State of NJ, Hammonton motor pool for five years finally retiring from the South Jersey transportation authority after nine years of service. Paul was a charter member of the Hammonton Sons of italy Giuseppe Garibaldi Lodge #1658, where he earned the nickname “Pauley Peanuts.” He served as a club officer and the Chairperson of the local chapter of the “Cooley’s anemia foundation.” He also served as a past secretary of the Hammonton Lions Club and was a member of the inskip antlers Gun Club. His hobbies were playing pool, hunting and cooking. He loved to dance and always put on a show at weddings, reunions and get-togethers. Wherever there was big band and 1950s music, Paul was on the dance floor. Paul is predeceased by his parents, Phillip and elvira (Valentino) iuliucci, mother- and fa- ther-in-law antonio and Jennie M. tomasello; brother-in-law, thomas Kramer and uncle-in- law, anthony Mino. Officer eric Pohl was the inves- tigating officer on the vandalism call, friel said. in other police news, officers made a number of warrant arrests last week, including the following, friel said. • On July 24 at 2:04 a.m. at 12th and Washington Streets, Kwayme Brown, 24, of Laurel Springs, was arrested on a warrant from Berlin for $800 and Paulsboro for $339, friel said. Brown was released on his own recognizance pending new court dates, friel said. Officer Brandan Campbell was the arresting officer, friel said. • On July 26 at 3:35 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop on Old forks road, Officer Dalton Verderame stopped a James Bean, 53, of riverton for speeding and he was found to have active warrants from Robbrina M. “Robbi” Archer robbrina M. “robbi” archer, age 38, of Hammonton, died July 22, 2018. Only one is an incumbent board member. Board vice president thomas attanasi is seeking re-election. anthony M. angelow, September Corgliano, Otto Hernandez, Ben- jamin Ott, erica Polito and Michael Pullia are all running for election. three seats are available. Board members Linda Sacco and Manny Bermudez did not run for re-election. for council, Hammonton first Councilman Sam rodio is joined by Jonathan Oliva and Dane Wuillermin on the Hammonton first ticket, according to the county. Councilmen Michael tor- rissi and Steven furgione are on the republican ticket with rock Colasurdo, according to the county. three seats are up for election on town council. the election for school board and council will be November 6.
