Summer school projects seek to improve the school district

all the buildings. We will be doing,
not our routine cleaning, but our
heavy duty cleanings. We will be
waxing all of the floors, cleaning
the desks and the cleaning of
everything. We realize it is a shortened summer because we just finished school [on June 23]. That is
part of what is going to happen,”
Giralo said.
Room-by-room at all the
schools, Giralo said the custodial
staff will be changing all the filters.
“Although we do that all year
long, summertime all your maintenance takes place. All the belts are
maintenance on your blowers.
Everything is broke down and
cleaned, vacuumed,” he said.
The custodial staff will have to
work around classes that take place

during the summer at each of the
schools. For instance, the Hammonton Early Childhood Education Center is having classes until
August 7, according to Giralo.
“There are things taking place at
the high school. So, some of the
buildings are being used during the
summer. They [the custodial staff]
will be working around that at the
same time. I believe we are using
