Kevin Friel said. The incident occurred at 3:54 p.m., Friel said. Friel said the truck was owned by Augustine Saldana, of Hammonton. “The truck sustained minor damage to its awning. No one inside the truck was harmed, and none of the festivalgoers were harmed,” Friel said. The tree was cut and rendered safe for the event by the Hammonton Volunteer Fire Department, Friel said. The events, which commemo- rated not only Independence Day but also Hammonton’s 150th Anniversary or sesquicentennial, birthday, were scattered throughout the day and drew in people of all ages.
