No injuries, but food truck sustains minor damage
sustained minor damage when the
top of a large pine tree at the Hammonton Lake Park broke off and
landed on top of the truck, Hammonton Police Lt. Kevin Friel said.
The incident occurred at 3:54 p.m.,
Friel said.
Friel said the truck was owned
by Augustine Saldana, of Hammonton.
“The truck sustained minor damage to its awning. No one inside the
truck was harmed, and none of the
festivalgoers were harmed,” Friel
said.
The tree was cut and rendered
safe for the event by the Hammonton Volunteer Fire Department,
Friel said. The truck was moved to

of July, Hammonton celebrated
American freedom in true smalltown fashion with a host of events
aimed at bringing the community
together.
The events, which commemo-

but also Hammonton’s 150th Anniversary or sesquicentennial, birthday, were scattered throughout the
