OBITUARIES Susan Moreinis
Susan Moreinis , 74 , of Hammonton , N . J ., left this world on Sunday , June 11 , 2023 after a long and courageous battle against T Cell Lymphoma and Long Covid . Susan was born on April 11 , 1949 and grew up in Brooklyn , NY . She attended Abraham Lincoln High School , SUNY Stonybrook , and earned a law degree from Saint John ’ s University in Queens , NY . Susan practiced law out of her Collingswood , NJ office for 35 years . Susan loved hosting parties , playing tennis and mahjong , reading , watching Jeopardy and traveling six of the seven continents .
Susan is pre-deceased by her father Joseph Moreinis . Susan is survived by her loving husband , Charles J . Penza ; her mother , Marilyn Moreinis ; and her brother , Peter Moreinis . The family would like to thank Dr . Stephen Barta and the staff at University of Penn Hospital , Pavilion Building for their compassionate care during Susan ’ s treatment .
Services will be held at 11 a . m . on Friday , June 23rd at the Carnesale Funeral Home , 202 South Third Street , Hammonton , N . J ., where a visitation will be held from 10 a . m . – 11 a . m . Entombment will follow in Greenmount Cemetery , Hammonton . Joseph Olive
Joseph Olive , 80 , passed away peacefully at home on June 3rd , 2023 with his family lovingly by his side . Born August 6 , 1942 to Catherine Merlino and Frank Olive . Joe lived his rambunctious young life in Hammonton , NJ along with many aunts , uncles , cousins , and family and friends close by . Joe ’ s love of sports and music carried him through his high school years where he would excel on the football field and on-stage playing guitar with his rock band . After High School Joe would start working for Highway Transportation and Morgan ’ s Pump & Tank . Joe landed a coveted toll collectors ’ job with the Delaware River Port Authority where he would spend the next 30 years until he retired at the ripe old age of 62 and a half . Joe and Bert spent their retirement years owning a shop in Smithville , traveling and enjoying life to the fullest . At 74 , Joe embarked on one last adventure , moving to Kentucky to live the simple life in the idyllic beauty of the Blue Grass State .
Joe is predeceased by his brother Francis Olive . Joe is survived by his adoring wife , Alberta Olive ; his two sons , John ( Kimberly Olive ) and Joey Olive ( Zackary Binx ); and his grandchildren , Joshua and Emily Olive .
Joe will be remembered for all the love and kindness he shared with his friends and family . He truly loved each of them- and if you knew him , you knew it . When his time came , he carried himself with dignity , strength , and full of love for those who went before him . He will be missed dearly . Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joe ’ s visitation Monday June 26th from 6 p . m . – 7:30 p . m . with a celebration of life starting at 7:30 p . m . at Marinella Funeral Home in 102 N Third St . Car overturns off WHP

HAMMONTON — A car was involved in a one-vehicle crash that left it overturned off the White Horse Pike ( Route 30 ) at 8:52 a . m . on June 12 , Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said .
“ Vehicle number one , a 2015 gray Kia Optima was traveling westbound on Route 30 operated by Alena Welsh , 18 , of Voorhees ,” Friel said .
Friel said vehicle number one ran off the roadway to the right ,

impacted the guard rail , overturned and impacted a billboard support , Friel said .
Driver one stated she was traveling at 65 miles per hour and stated she lost control of her vehicle , Friel said .
There was a summons issued for careless driving , according to Friel .
Friel said Officer Casey Hendrickson is the investigating officer .

POLICE , from Page 1
The Hammonton Police Department received a call from New Jersey State Police Red Lion that asked the HPD to go to an address in the 1000 block of Applefield Loop in reference to a vehicle located in their jurisdiction , Friel said .
The owner of the vehicle advised that his vehicle had been parked at a repair shop in the 300 block of S . White Horse Pike ( Route 30 ) as he was attempting to get it repaired , Friel said .
The vehicle was found to be in the possession of Ryan Birch , 30 , of Glendora , Friel said . Birch was involved with a call for service earlier in the evening in the prime block of the White Horse Pike , Friel said .
A blue backpack , which matched the exact backpack Birch had on his person , was located in a vehicle that was not taken in the 300 block of S . White Horse Pike , Friel said .
Birch was charged with two counts of burglary and one count of theft and will have to appear in Atlantic County Superior Court in

The vehicle that was taken was a 2002 Saturn four-door , Friel said , adding that the vehicle was taken between 12:15 a . m . and 5 a . m . on June 16 . The vehicle was returned to the owner , Friel said .
Friel said Sgt . David Reustle is the charging officer , Friel said .
