and Cheese, and many more.
in addition to all the sweet and
savory selections being served up
during the festival, there was also
plenty of live entertainment and
cold beer on hand inside a massive
craft beer garden, located on South
Second Street.
a second music stage was as-
sembled on Central avenue where
a sea of festival goers filled the
street and crowded into picnic ta-
bles set up on many side streets
downtown.
as demonstrated by the wide-
spread crowd during Hammon-
ton’s festival, food truck festivals
have become increasingly preva-
lent throughout the region in re-

Police Lt. Kevin Friel said police
continue to investigate new thefts
from vehicles parked in residences
or other areas of town. it is a type
of crime that continues to persist
despite numerous previous police
reminders that people should lock
their vehicle doors and not leave
valuables in their vehicles.
Friel said the following thefts
from vehicles occurred recently:
• On May 28, a vehicle burglary
on the prime block of rose rita
terrace was reported to police at
8:08 a.m.
“Between 6 p.m. on May 27 and
7 p.m. on May 28, he said an un-
known subject or subjects entered
his rental vehicle and stole $500 in
cash, his wallet and prescription
medication,” Friel said.

On May 31, a vehicle burglary
in the parking area of the atlantic
County Library Hammonton Branch was reported to police at
3:32 p.m., Friel said.
“the vehicle was parked out-
side the atlantic County Library
Hammonton Branch when a bag
was stolen from the vehicle. the
complainant said an unknown
subject or subjects had taken two
bags and a cell phone from inside
the vehicle,” Friel said.
the bags were described as a
black backpack and a tennessee
duffel bag, orange in color, Friel
said.
“the phone was an iPhone 8,”
Friel said.
according to the complainant,
he had entered the library to make
some copies and when he returned
to the vehicle, he noticed the items
were taken, Friel said.
Officer renzo Mendoza is the
investigating officer, Friel said.
