Joyce Rosenberg
Joyce rosenberg, 76, of aventura, Florida, formerly of Hammonton,
died april 30.
She was a graduate of Hammonton High School and worked at
White Hall Labs for many years.
She is pre-deceased by her parents William and Mary Berenato.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Morton rosenberg; sister,
Marion Distasio; niece, Michele Jennings and nephew, albert Jennings.
a Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 14 at 9 a.m. at St Mary
of Mt. Carmel Parish - St. anthony of Padua Church on rt. 206.
Nancy Ann Ezzi
Nancy ann ezzi (nee Scaltrito), 99, of Hammonton died peacefully
at home on Wednesday June 5, 2019.
Born and raised in Hammonton, she worked in the Garment industry
for many years and was a member of the international Ladies Garment
Workers of america.
She is predeceased by her parents, anthony and Catherine Scaltrito;
husband, James edward ezzi and her seven brothers and sisters. Sur-
viving are her two children, edward J. ezzi (Kim Poliner) of
Southampton and arlene aiello (Frank) of egg Harbor twp; two broth-
ers, angelo Scaltrito of Hammonton and Frank Scaltrito of Palm Beach
Garden, Fla. She was the loving grandmother of Cheryl Braccio
(Stephen) and Mark aiello. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing today, Wednesday, June 12 from
9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. third St., Hammonton. Mass
of Christian Burial will also be held today, Wednesday, June 12 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of
Mt. Carmel – St. Joseph Church, third & French Sts., Hammonton. Burial will take
place in Calvary Cemetery, rt. 70, Cherry Hill. Donations can be made to the St. Jude
Children’s research Hospital, 262 Danny thomas Place, Memphis, tN 38105-1942.

Joseph A. Siligato
Joseph a. Siligato, 89, of Hammonton died on Friday, June 7, 2019
at atlantiCare Medical Center in Galloway twp.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. Siligato served in
the U.S. air Force during the Korean War. Before retiring he worked
as an accounting supervisor for the Delaware river Port authority, and
was the owner of Blue Moon Berry Farm. He enjoyed going to Ham-
monton High School football games and being on the chain gang, bus
trips to the casinos in atlantic City, daily lunches at the Hammonton
Senior Center and attending his grandchildren’s sporting and school
events. He was elected to the Hammonton High School athletic Hall
of Fame in 1995.
He is predeceased by his son, Joseph Siligato and his parents, angelo and Jennie Sili-
gato. He is survived by his wife, Janet Siligato (nee Cavalli); two daughters, Denise
Siligato and Darlene Dawson (Nicky) all of Hammonton; three grandchildren, Michael
Siligato (alexa) of Margate, Mallory Siligato of Longport and tommy Dawson of Ham-
monton; two sisters, Dolores Wagner of Willingboro and Pauline Link of absecon and
two brothers-in-law, Carmen Cavalli (Fritzie) of Pennsylvania and thomas Cavalli
(Betty) of Florida.
a viewing will be held today, Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at
St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. anthony of Padua, 285 route 206 in Ham-
monton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. entombment
will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton. in lieu of flowers donations may

Counterfeit bills passed locally

HaMMONtON—Police are
investigating an incident of coun-
terfeit bills being passed at a retail
establishment in the prime block
of route 206 at 12:37 p.m. on
June 4, Hammonton Police Lt.
Kevin Friel said.
“Police were called to a retail
establishment and met with a
manager who stated that a male
subject came into their store and
attempted to purchase $751.67 in
items at around 9:20 a.m. the
items he purchased were pur-
chased with counterfeit currency,”
Friel said.

parked in the roadway with its
hazard lights on, Friel said.

emanating from the vehicle, Friel
said. after the driver was asked to
exit the vehicle, a brown blunt
containing burnt green leafy veg-
etation believed to be marijuana
was found inside the vehicle, Friel
said.
Christian Hernandez, 20, of
Vineland was placed under arrest
and brought to the Hammonton
Police Department for process-
ing, Friel said. Upon arrival at the
police department, he was found
to have a bag containing green
leafy vegetation believed to be
marijuana as well, Friel said.
Hernandez was processed and
released pending a court appear-
ance in Hammonton Joint Munic-
ipal Court for possession of
controlled dangerous substance
marijuana, Friel said.
Thefts from vehicles at high school

HaMMONtON—Police are
searching for the individual or in-
dividuals responsible for several
thefts from vehicles parked in the
Hammonton High School (HHS)
parking lot on the 500 block of
Old Forks road last week, Ham-
monton Police Lt. Kevin Friel
said.
those thefts included the fol-
lowing:
• On June 5 at 2:51 p.m., items
were taken from a vehicle parked
at the Hammonton High School,
including $10 worth of change at
the center cupholder, Friel said.
