OBITUARIES Charlotte R . ( DeMarco ) Cessato

Charlotte R . ( DeMarco ) Cessato , 78 , passed away suddenly on May 25 , 2023 , following a brief illness . A lifelong resident of Hammonton , N . J ., Cessato graduated from Hammonton High School ( HHS ) in 1963 . Three years later , she was greatly honored by being named Miss Hammonton Centennial 1966 . The next year , she graduated from Glassboro State College ( later Rowan University ) and , during that June , she married William J . “ Bill ” Cessato – her beloved husband of 41 years who died in 2008 . Cessato also began her teaching career in the Hammonton public school system . She taught classes related to social studies for 33 years before her retirement from HHS in 2000 . She was selected as Teacher of the Year .
Former students will remember Cessato for her work as an educator in the classroom , as well as for her leadership in extracurricular activities . She served as the cheerleading coach and advised the Key Club student organization . In particular , she was extremely proud of her service as the instructor of the pom-pom section of the award-winning HHS band . She remembered with fondness chaperoning class trips and school events , traveling for band competitions , and being a part of the school community as the band and the football team were each beginning to achieve renown .
Cessato was active in church life . For many years , she walked with the statue of St . Anthony of Padua during the annual procession in town on the Feast of Our Lady of Mt . Carmel . She greatly valued her friendships at St . Anthony of Padua Church ( St . Mary of Mount Carmel Parish ) and treasured collaborating on various church-related activities . She volunteered on the parish council , as a lector , and as a Eucharistic minister , and she truly enjoyed working with children and other former teachers for the God ’ s Little Angels program .
Cessato was the oldest daughter of the late Anthony J . and Mary S . ( Verrech ) DeMarco . She is survived by her daughter , son-in-law , and granddaughter Melissa , Stefano ; and Victoria Costanzi and her son Bill Cessato ; her sisters and brothers-in-law , Anita and Paul Hoffman and MaryAnn and Hank Rizzotte ; her aunts , Stella Daniello , Gladys Tomasella , and Joan Fulginiti ; and her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law , Thomas Cessato , and John and MaryAnn Cessato . Surviving are beloved nieces and nephews , close friends , and many cousins . She very much loved her dog Teddy , a constant companion for several years .
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday , May 31 , at 11 a . m ., at St . Anthony of Padua Church ( 285 Route 206 , Hammonton ). A visitation will be held the same day from 9:30 a . m . to 11 a . m ., also at St . Anthony . The Mass will be followed by entombment at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton . In lieu of flowers or food , memorial donations may be sent to St . Anthony of Padua Church , c / o St . Mary of Mount Carmel Parish , 226 French Street , Hammonton , NJ , 08037 .

William “ Bill ” Sauser

William “ Bill ” Sauser , 80 , of Elm , N . J . passed away Wednesday May 24 , 2023 . Bill was born in Philadelphia , Pa . and graduated from Edgewood Regional High School in 1962 . He retired as an Electrician from Johnson Matthey Precious Metals in West Deptford where he worked for many years . He was a member of the Cruisin ’ Classics Auto Club and loved all animals .
Bill is predeceased by his son , William ; and parents , John and Marie Sauser . He is survived by his loving wife , Alva Sauser ( nee Delguercio ); two brothers , John Sauser and his wife Mamie of Hammonton , N . J ., Hank Sauser and his wife Linda of Williamstown , N . J .; two sisters , Marie McCallion of Wenonah , N . J . and Sophie Sauser of Elm , N . J .; his brotherin-law , Jim Delguercio ( Roger Critchfield ); sister-in-law , Marie Rendina ; and several Nieces and Nephews . He will also be sadly missed by his furry friend Angel .
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Wednesday May 31 , 2023 from 10 a . m . -12 p . m . at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N Third St . Hammonton , NJ 08037 , with funeral services at 12 p . m . Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery 550 N . White Horse Pike Hammonton , NJ 08037 following the service . Richard E . Henshaw

Richard E . Henshaw , 69 , of Hammonton , N . J . passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on May 25 , 2023 . Richard was a lifelong Hammonton resident and graduated from St . Joseph High School in 1971 . He played football , basketball and baseball in high school and was named All State . He attended the University of Miami on a football scholarship . Richard was employed by the Town of Hammonton prior to working at various casinos in Atlantic City in the Engineering / Maintenance departments . He Enjoyed skiing , fishing , crabbing , surfing and numerous outdoor activities .
Richard is predeceased by his parents , Francis Scott , Sr . and Martha ( nee Lock ) Henshaw ; and his brothers , Francis Scott Henshaw Jr . and Paul L . Henshaw . He is survived by his son , Richard W . Henshaw and daughter Jennifer L . Henshaw ; and his two granddaughters , Claire and Savannah Henshaw . He is also survived by his brothers , Thomas , Larry and his wife Louise , Robert and his wife Phyllis ; sisters in law , JoAnne Henshaw and Karen Henshaw , as well as numerous cousins , nieces and nephews .

Vincenzo James “ Jimmy ” Aloisio

Vincenzo James " Jimmy " Aloisio , 94 , of Hammonton passed away peacefully on Sunday , May 28 , 2023 in the Samaritan Center at Voorhees . Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong resident . Jimmy was a retired truck driver having worked for Highway Transportation in Hammonton and North Penn Transport of Mt . Holly . He was an Army veteran of the Korean War . Jimmy enjoyed time spent with his family especially with his children and grandchildren .
He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years , Anna E . Aloisio ( nee Grasso ); his parents , Pasquale and Marion Aloisio ; his sisters , Antoinette Ford , Catherine Pinto , Anna Gregory , and Sadie Aloisio ; his brothers , Angelo and John . Jimmy is survived by his two children , Marion Inglesby and her husband , David , Pasquale “ Pat ” Aloisio and his wife Kari ; his two brothers , Tony Aloisio , Pasquale Aloisio and his wife Regina ; his brother-in-law , James Pinto ; his grandchildren , Nicole " Nikki " ( Sam ), Vincent , Caroline , Isiah and many nieces and nephews .
