Good eats coming downtown on Saturday , June 11 for Food Truck Fest
FOOD , from Page 1 urday , June 11 , food trucks will line Bellevue Avenue , Central Avenue , North and South Second Street and North Egg Harbor Road . None of the eight trucks scheduled to park on Bellevue Avenue will be in front of food or retail businesses but will still be just as easily accessible .
“ This new setup should help us manage the foot traffic more effectively . Downtown businesses have been asked to not set up tents in front of their businesses to keep the sidewalks more open ,” Iacovelli said .
With many people expected to attend , Iacovelli said she is currently working to put together a map that will display the truck locations and designated areas where people can park throughout town during this MainStreet Hammonton event .
There will be a total of 33 trucks set up across the aforementioned locations . Some of the confirmed vendors include : Cow and the Curd , Mama ’ s Meatballs , Cannoli World , Russell ’ s Pic II and Luke ’ s Lobsters . There will be no shortage of variety when it comes to food styles , organizers said .
“ You can expect a great time . Two great bands . Lots of interesting food trucks . Big crowds . Probably long lines . Lots of nice people to hang out with . Bring your own table and chairs if you want to be sure to sit while you eat . Bring water if it is hot so you are hydrated . If you have kids and are concerned about long lines , bring a cooler with food for the kids to reduce stress ,” Iacovelli
Spend June 12 in the park
HAMMONTON — The Our Lady of Mt . Carmel Society , the Hammonton Lions Club and the Historical Society of Hammonton are hosting Sunday in the Park on Sunday , June 12 from 12:30 p . m . to 4:30 p . m . in Leo Club Park on Vine Street .
The three organizations have partnered to hold a sesquicentennial event that will highlight many artifacts and memorabilia of the Society along with their signature food of the Feast … sausage and pepper sandwiches .
There will also be watercolors by local artist Marie Natale of Hammonton ’ s historical sites for exhibit and for sale ( cash or checks ). The Lions will provide music by Packaged Goods Orchestra for entertainment .
Residents and guests are invited to spend an enjoyable afternoon in the park . Please bring your chairs and blankets .

On stage , live outdoor musical entertainment by the energetic , southern New Jersey cover band , Stealing Savanah will perform a mix of rock , pop , top 40 and dance music on Central Ave . and bringing the best from reggae , roots , rocksteady , dancehall and ska , the Burnsiders will keep the dance party going all night long on N . Egg Harbor Road , according to MainStreet Hammonton .
The “ Starving Artists Fair ” hosted by the Noyes Museum is back again this year where you can see the regionally-made art goods for sale .
Outside of providing tons of delicious food options , the Food Truck Festival helps drive consumers to downtown stores . For people like Behind the Moon Owner Brooke Sacco , it ’ s the perfect opportunity to market to new customers .

HAMMONTON — Police were contacted at 10:23 a . m . on May 22 to investigate a burglary that allegedly occurred at the Water World location on Reading Avenue , Hammonton Police Chief Robert Jones said .
According to Jones , the owner , John Dalrymple , reported that $ 13,000 was missing from his office .
“ He said the money was placed in there on May 20 at 2 p . m . He left the office on May 20 at 6 p . m . and the money was discovered missing at 10:23 a . m . on Saturday ,” Jones said .

HAMMONTON — Rebecca Ramp , 31 , of Hammonton , was traveling east on the White Horse Pike ( Route 30 ) at 3 p . m . on May 21 when she struck two poles which caused the White Horse Pike to be closed for about two hours , Hammonton Police Chief Robert Jones said .
She was charged with reckless driving , failure to maintain lane and driving while under the influence of alcohol ( DWI ), Jones said .
Ramp was held per John ’ s Law and released when sober , Jones said .
Officer William Kurz was the investigating officer , Jones said . send their money . That is very good for the Hammonton economy ,” Iacovelli said .

Participants wanted for July 4 parade
HAMMONTON — Hammonton ’ s Sesquicentennial Planning Committee is issuing a call for all civic , religious and other community groups to participate in this year ’ s Independence Day Parade , scheduled for Monday , July 4 , 2016 .
The parade will begin at 11 a . m . at the corner of Egg Harbor Road and Bellevue Avenue . It will proceed north through the town ’ s historic downtown area to just above Third Street . It will be preceded by an interfaith service at 9 a . m . in Hammonton Lake Park and followed by a Community Picnic in the Park , complete with food , games , music and fireworks , beginning in mid-afternoon .
