Ronald L. Roff Jr.
Ronald L. Roff Jr., age 49, of Summerville, S.C. and formerly of Ham-
monton died on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Trident Medical Center in
North Charleston, S.C.
Ron graduated from Hammonton High School in 1986. He was a drum-
mer in the high school band. In 1991, h e graduated from the Academy of
Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College, in Mays Landing. He
worked as a chef in a bed and breakfast in Vermont, at Seaview Country
Club and Ron Jaworski’s Eagles Nest. Although he changed careers to retail
management for Eckerd Drugs and CVS, he still enjoyed cooking for family
and friends. Most recently he was manager of CVS on Dorchester in Sum-
merville, S.C.
Born November 20, 1968 in Paterson, N.J, he was predeceased by his parents, Ronald L.
Roff and Cecelia (Nocito) Roff. Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Tammy Middour Roff; two
children, Adam Roff and Zackary Roff, both of Summerville; two step-children, Christy Mid-
dour of New Jersey and Daniel Middour of Summerville; three sisters, Cindy Ayers of Michigan,
Karen (Paul) Henshaw, Janice LaRosa; mother-in-law, Mrs. Bertie Wise of Ehrhardt, S.C.; niece
and nephews, Christopher Henshaw, Daniel Ayers, Dominic LaRosa and Rebekah Ayers.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be directed to his memory to the Sum-
merville (S.C.) High School Marching Band. Arrangements made by the Brice Herndon Funeral

Genevieve Delores Campione
Genevieve Delores Campione (nee Testa), 85, of Egg Harbor Township
died peacefully at Seashore Gardens Living Center on Monday, May 14,
2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Hammonton she was a lifelong area resident. She was a grad-
uate of Hammonton High School. Mrs. Campione enjoyed music, dancing
and cooking. Her smile and happy spirit touched everyone.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Anna Testa (nee Saia)
and her granddaughter, Breanne Marie Petrilli. Mrs. Campione is sur-
vived by her five children, Joann D’Agostino (Bill); Anthony J. Campione
Jr., Bruce Campione (Alicia) all of Hammonton, Renee Laielli (Joe) of
Egg Harbor Township, Toni Petrilli (Jodi) of Egg Harbor City; two sisters, Grace Benedetto
and Shirley Coia both of Hammonton; one brother, Joseph Testa of Cherry Hill; 11 grand-
children and seven great-grandchildren. She will be terribly missed by many and will always
remain in our hearts forever.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, May 18, 2018 at St. Mary of Mt.
Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church. Burial followed in Greenmount Cemetery. Memorial do-
nations may be made to the Charity of one’s choice.

Mary Rita O’Neill
Mary Rita O’Neill (nee Formiglia), age 94, of Hammonton died on
May 15, 2018 at home.
Mary was born in Philadelphia and relocated to Hammonton in 2012.
Mary worked as a seamstress for Daroff and Sons in Philadelphia. She
loved to cook, bake and sew.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Galeone of Hammonton; her sis-
ters, Gilda Raetze and Angelina Patitucci. Loving grandmother of Jeffrey
and Michael Galeone and Lisa Breining (Christopher) and great-grand-
mother of Aiden, Isabella, Jacob and Logan.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 21 at the Marinella Fu-
neral. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made in Mary’s memory to: St.
Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Olga Carletti
Olga Carletti, age 89, of Hammonton died on May 15, 2018.
Olga was born in Caserta, Italy. She worked as a seamstress and retired
from National Garment in 1991, she also worked for Kessler Clothing.
Olga was a member of Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America and
Altar Rosary Society of St. Martin de Porres Church.
Olga is predeceased by her husband, Raffaele; her brother, Nicola
Lagnese and her sisters, Antoinette and Emma. She is survived by her chil-
dren, Patsy and his wife Tina of Hammonton, John and his wife Teresa of
Cherry Hill and Paula Polyak and her husband Rob of West Chester, Ohio.
Dear sister to Domenic (Mimo) Lagnese, Amelia Trepiccione and Marie
Consoli. Loving grandmother to R.J.(Taylor), Steffie, Antonio, Julianna and Lorenzo Carletti,
Brian and Lauren Polyak.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, May 19 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel
Parish-St. Joseph Church. Burial was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations may be made

several arrests last week, includ-
ing the following, Hammonton
Police Lt. Kevin Friel said.
• On May 14 at 9:47 p.m., on
the 100 block of 12th Street, a
subject was stopped in the park-
ing lot of Wawa for operating a
motor vehicle during license sus-
pension, with an active warrant
from Oaklyn Borough in the
amount of $799, Friel said.
James Lewis, 30, of Winslow
Twp. was arrested and released,
Friel said.
“He was released on his own
recognizance on the warrant
pending a court date in Oaklyn
and was charged with driving
while suspended and released
pending a court date in Hammon-
ton,” Friel said.
The arresting officer was Offi-
cer Kyle Ambrozaitis, Friel said.

Daniel Scaffidi
Daniel Scaffidi, 16, of Hammonton died on Thursday, May 17, 2018
in AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division.
Born in Somers Point he was a lifelong Hammonton resident. He for-
merly played for the Hammonton Hawks Football Organization and played
football his freshman year of high school. Daniel was a junior at Ham -
monton High School. He loved fishing, playing video games, swimming
and drawing. Daniel loved his dog Meggie.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Richard J. Domenico
and his paternal grandparents, Percy and Catherine Scaffidi and his uncle,
Anthony Scaffidi. Daniel is survived by his parents, Suzanne and Jimmy
Scaffidi; his brother, Michael Scaffidi; his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth “Betty” Domenico
all of Hammonton; his aunts and uncles, Pete and Lorraine Scaffidi, Marie Scaffidi, Joe and
Carol Scaffidi, Richard and Kathleen Scaffidi, Rosemary Eikamp, Nancy Scaffidi, Phyllis
and Chip Crouch, Cathy Scaffidi, Richard Domenico; Michele and Anthony Bucci; 22 first
cousins along with so many close friends.
Relatives, friends and classmates are invited to attend a Mass of Christian of Burial today,
Wednesday May 23, 2018, 11 a.m. in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, St. Joseph Church, 226
French St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. There will be no viewing.

Harry Valentin
Harry Valentin, 57, of Rosedale died May 18, 2018 at his residence.
Born in New York he lived in Rosedale for the past 11 years. Harry
was a 30-year veteran of the New York Police Department Retiring as a
First Grade Detective. He was a 9/11 first responder and was diagnosed
with glioblastoma multiforme because of his exposure to the toxins at
Ground Zero. Harry was a DEA member and a member of the Puerto
Rican Civic Assoc. in Hammonton.
He is survived by his wife, Georgina Valentin; his sons, Harry Valentin;
Tyler Valentin both of Rosedale, Xavier Valentin of Florida, Franklin Ro-
driguez of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three brothers, David Valentin, Oscar Valentin,
Tito Valentin; two sisters, Irma Velez, Gloria Ruiz and his two grandsons, Franklin Rodriguez
Jr. and Xavier A. Valentin.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, in St. Mary of Mt.
Carmel Parish, St. Joseph Church. Burial followed in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammon-

Joseph M.
Fondacaro
Joseph M. Fon-
dacaro Sr., 83, died
on Tuesday, May
15, after a long
struggle
with
Alzheimer’s dis-
ease.
Joseph resided
at Amore’ in Stu-
art, Florida. He
was born in Blue
Anchor on October
5, 1934 to parents
Antonio and Anna (Delano) Fondacaro,
and both were born in Italy.
Joseph was the youngest of five chil-
dren. His siblings, deceased, are sister,
Victoria Schafer, with whom he shared a
very strong bond and lovingly referred to
her as “Sis” and three brothers, Frank,
Anthony and Nicholas Fondacaro.
He resided in South Florida for the
last 37 years and had been retired for the
last 16 years. Prior to moving to Florida,
Joseph was employed for many years as
a carpenter for Texaco Oil Refinery in
Westville, N.J. He was also a substitute
teacher for the Camden County school
system. Joseph served his country in the
United States Army in 1956 during the
war in Korea. He was an avid gardener
and his home and garden were always
filled with flowers, plants and vegeta-
bles. His beautiful property was fea-
tured, highlighted and photographed
numerous times by the local St Lucie
newspaper. He was also an excellent
cook and loved to prepare the Italian
recipes that his parents brought here
from Italy. His hobbies included crab-
bing in the warm summer months,
spending time with the grandchildren in
Disney World, and visiting the Atlantic
City casinos.
Joseph was married to Marie Kather-
ine Fondacaro (Puleo) who passed away
in 2014. Surviving are his three sons and
their spouses, Joseph Fondacaro Jr.
(Charlotte Parker) of Hammonton, Gre-
gory Fondacaro (Donna Maccarella) of
Sewell, and Steven Fondacaro (Deena
Cifelli) of Jensen Beach, Florida. Joseph
was predeceased by his daughter, Terese
Fondacaro. He is also survived by eight
grandchildren, Lindsay Fondacaro,
Kristina Fondacaro, Nicholas Fondacaro,
Sarena Fondacaro, Nathan Fondacaro,
Joseph C. Fondacaro, Sarah Fondacaro
and Stevie Fondacaro, and has one great-
grandchild, Victoria Rose Creamer.
Joseph also is survived by his nephews,
Robert Schafer (Nancy) of Cottage
Grove, Minnesota and Joseph Noble of
Fort Pierce, Florida. Joseph has one sur-
viving cousin, Domenic Fondacaro (Liz)
of Ulla Dulla, Australia.
Family and friends are invited to at-
tend a visitation on Tuesday, May 29,
2018 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with services
at 7 p.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home,
102 N. Third St. Hammonton. Donations
may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation
of America, 322 Eighth Ave, 7th floor,
New York, NY 10001.
