HAMMONTON—On May 14, the Public
Works and Transportation and Water and
Sewer Committees (PWTC/WS) of Hammonton Town Council met at Civil Solutions
on North Second Street, a division of Adams,
Rehmann and Heggan (ARH). The town
council meeting took place on May 18. During the committee meeting, members, including Mayor Stephen DiDonato, discussed
updates on the 14th Street roadway improvements, Valley Avenue utility replacement,
street light requests and drip irrigation project
on Boyer Avenue.
Ted Peterson of TKT Construction was at
the meeting to give an update on the work his
company is performing at the Lincoln Street
site. The target date for substantial completion of the well work, ACO report is June 15
and it will be online by July 15, as requested
by the committee. Wells 4, 5 and 7 remain
online.
“We are going to run both wells next week
[week of May 18]. We are going to pump
them overboard just to get them started, and
then the implementation of the control panel
is due in on the 25th [of May]. We hope to
have that up and running in a week or so after
that. So, by the middle of June we should be
completely online,” Peterson said.
Public Works Manager/Business Administrator Jerome Barberio updated the committee on the 39 Centennial Drive property that
was affected by a fire last year. The
town will be reimbursed for the
fence security around the damaged
site.
“It has been all cleaned up. There
is a $1,500 outlay for fence that the
town put up for security, which the
judge has ordered the individual to
pay by June 1. We will have the
money back to [Frank] Zuber, the
keeper of the accounts,” Barberio
said.
