OBITUARIES Larry L . Jones

Larry L . Jones , 88 , of Hammonton , passed away peacefully on Tuesday , May 9 , 2023 at home with his loving family by his side . Born on November 21 , 1934 , Larry was raised in Shelby , Ohio , graduated from Shelby High School and was a former member of the Lions Club in Ohio . He and his family relocated to Hammonton in 1972 , where he was a crew leader and linesman for Atlantic City Electric Company . Larry thoroughly enjoyed his work and took great pride in his career ; he was awarded a 55- year membership pin from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers ( IBEW ). He was a longtime , faithful member of the Hammonton Presbyterian Church . Larry ' s hobbies included fishing , traveling , home renovation , watching the Philadelphia Phillies , playing the slot machines at the casino and scratching off lottery tickets . His greatest enjoyment came when spending time with his family , who he truly loved , including the " grand-dogs " and all of the family pets . He also loved coffee , wine , cigars , working on cars , woodworking and helping family and friends with their home projects .
Larry was predeceased by his parents , Paul and Gladys Jones ; parents in law , Joseph and Lois Laubie ; his brothers , Paul and James ; his sisters , Sylvia Rathgeb and Lou Ann Sheets ; his brothers in law , James Laubie and Doug Williams ; his son in law , Collin Brill ; his greatgrandsons , Ezra and Benjamin Scheffler . He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years ( 67 on June 1 ) Margaret Jones ( nee Laubie ); his six children , Sheryl Wilson ( Dave ), Peggy Hoffman ( John ), Larry " Brad " Jones ( Patricia ), Catherine Brill , Jennifer Jones-Rodriguez ( Luis ) and Samantha Vettese ( Robert ); his grandchildren , Sarah Duca , Emily Scheffler , Larry " LJ " Hoffman , Alexander Jones , Luis Rodriguez , Tristan Rodriguez , Lia Vettese and Max Vettese ; his four great-grandsons , Matthew and Charles Duca ; Byram and Henry Scheffler ; his sister , Ruthanne Goff ; his sister in law , Carol Williams and his brother in law Jeff Laubie and several nieces and nephews .
Funeral Services were held Saturday , May 13 , 2023 , 11:30 am at the Carnesale Funeral Home , 202 S . Third St ., Hammonton , where a visitation was held from 10 a . m . - 11:30 a . m . Dorothy B . Ford

Dorothy B . Ford ( nee Berenato ), 96 , of Hammonton , N . J . passed away Wednesday May 10 , 2023 . Dorothy was born and raised in Hammonton and graduated from Hammonton High in 1944 . She along with her husband owned and operated the Central Café in Hammonton . She was a member of St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish and devoted to St . Padre Pio .
Dorothy is predeceased by her husband , Lyall Ford ; son , Joseph Ford ; parents , Antonio and Angelina Berenato ; siblings , Theresa Gudelunas ( Phillip ), Anna Mazza ( Mickey ), Rose Rodio , Jennie Berenato , Anthony Berenato ( Ellen ); and brother-in-law , Joseph Husta . She is survived by her children , Anthony Ford , Michael Ford ( Catherine ), Angela Ford ( Eric Walton ); sister , Rita Husta ; 10 grandchildren , 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews .
Relatives and friends were invited to attend her viewing Monday May 15th from 9 a . m . - 11 a . m . at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish – St . Joseph Church 3rd & French Streets Hammonton , NJ . Anthony J . Giacobbe

Anthony J . Giacobbe , 87 , of Buena Vista Township passed away peacefully at home on Thursday , May 11 , 2023 . Born and raised in Hammonton he lived for many years in Winslow before moving to Buena Vista Township . He proudly served in the U . S . Marine Corps . Anthony was an avid hunter and member of the Inskip Antlers Gun Club . Before retiring he worked as a cement finisher for the Laborers Union Local No . 172 of Folsom .
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of sixty years , Sandy Giacobbe ; his son in law , Michael J . Scarpato , Sr .; and his twin sister , Kathleen Giacobbe . He is survived by three daughters , Kathleen Scarpato , Jackie DeLash ( Bob ), Toni Ann Wilkinson ( Bill ); seven grandchildren , Ericka DeLash , Kelli Simone , Briana DeLash-Zicari , Billy Wilkinson , Joe Wilkinson , Michael J . Scarpato , Jr . and Dylan Scarpato ; six great grandchildren , Colbie , Billy , Kali , Amelia , Jaxon and Emmy ; one brother , Robert Giacobbe ( Ellen ); one sister , Rosalyn Carrelli ; two sisters in law , Vicki Pitale and Rita Lancetta ; brother in law , Carmen Lancetta ( Jean ); and many nieces , nephews , cousins and friends .
A viewing was held on Tuesday , May 16 , 2023 from 10 a . m . – 12 p . m . at the Carnesale Funeral Home , 202 S . Third Street in Hammonton , where funeral services took place at 12 p . m . Burial followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery , 124 S . First Road , in Hammonton . In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St . Jude ' s Children ' s Hospital , 501 St . Jude Place , Memphis , TN 38105 .

Prisco Edward Ravelli

Prisco Edward Ravelli , 86 of Las Vegas , Nevada departed peacefully , surrounded by his loving family on January 3 , 2023 . Ed also known as Sonny for his affectionate smile was born September 15 , 1936 . He resided in Hammonton , N . J . most of his adult life . Immediately upon graduating Hammonton High School , Ed enlisted in the Naval Reserves Construction Battalion ( Seabees ) 4-12 USN & MCRTC ( US Navy & Marine Corps Reserve Training Center ) June 1 , 1954 in Atlantic City , New Jersey . He served eight years in Camden , N . J . and was honorably discharged May 30 , 1962 . He owned Ravelli Painting and Decorating and over the next 25 years successfully completed hundreds of projects throughout South Jersey for the commercial , utility and casino industry . He was a union Trustee for Painters Local 277 ensuring good union wages and benefits to all its members . Ed was also a life member of the Kiwanis Club and President 1978-1979 .
An explorer at heart , Ed and wife Madeline headed West in 1991 where he started his second career at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas . He applied his fine painting and decorating artistry throughout the high-end property until retiring at the young age of 72 . Ed and Madeline were married for 60 years . They enjoyed a lifetime of travel throughout this great country . Early east coast family camping trips with the StarCraft Club , transitioned into cruises , southwest road trips and many , many visits to the casinos . Ed was a purveyor of eclectic collections . He cataloged thousands of beer cans , post cards and casino slot cards , bar napkins , matchbooks and hotel keys . At first glance , simple immaterial objects , yet each represented a small token or symbol of his rich fulfilling journey through life . At the end , Ed ( Sonny ) was satisfied , smiling and at peace . He will be missed .
He is pre-deceased by his parents , Helen Frances ( Kwasnieski ) Ravelli , Prisco Anthony Ravelli Jr .; and sister , Deanna “ Dolly ” ( Ravelli ) Farquhar . He is survived by his wife , Madeline ( Schaeffer ) Ravelli ; his daughter , Deborah ( Ravelli ) Hinds ; his son , Prisco Eric Ravelli ; daughter-in-law , Toni ( LaMazza ) Ravelli ; his grandchildren , Gabrielle Ravelli , Tyler Ravelli , TJ Hinds and Jennifer Hinds ; his sister , Susan ( Ravelli ) Esposito ; as well as nieces and nephews .
