OBITUARIES Terry R . Slater
Terry R . Slater , 73 , of Folsom , passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Thursday , April 27 , 2023 , with his loving family by his side . Born in Butler , Pa ., Terry was a proud Veteran of the United States Army , who spent time stationed overseas in Korea . After the military , he became a sheet metal worker and welder for Local 19 , retiring after 33 years . In 1973 , Terry met the love of his life Linda , they married and moved to Folsom , N . J . where they created and raised a beautiful family together . He was a knowledgeable man who loved to learn new things . He enjoyed coaching baseball and soccer . Later learning how to play soccer himself at 40 years old . He was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan who enjoyed the excitement of a good Flyers , Phillies or Eagles game . Golf became a passion of his after retirement , even shooting two holes-in-one at White Oaks Country Club ( his favorite golf course ). He loved traveling with his wife and family , visiting many states across the USA . Hawaii and Maine being their favorite . He also loved traveling to Niagara Falls and taking in all of its beauty . Terry will be remembered as a hardworking , dedicated and loving man who enjoyed life and the time he spent with his beloved family . He was a friend to all and will be sadly missed by all of those who knew him .
Predeceased by his father , Charles Slater ; and his mother , Louise & his Pap John Stahl who raised him . Beloved husband of Linda Slater ( nee Rose ) for 49 Years . Devoted father of Daniel ( Jennifer ) Slater , David ( Olivia ) Slater and the late Thomas Slater . Terry shared a special closeness with his late brother , Chuck ( Jeanie ) Slater . Dear brother of John ( Diane ) Stahl , Marilyn Stahl , and late Barbara ( late Michael ) Meglino . Dear brother-in-law of Thomas ( Rhonda ) Rose and Edward ( Jacqueline ) Rose . Loving grandfather of Jenna , Danni , Kaya and Mia . Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews .
Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Saturday , May 6th from 10 a . m . – 11:15 a . m . at Our Lady of the Lakes Church , 19 Malaga Rd ., Collings Lakes . Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11:30 a . m . Interment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery , Williamstown . George Joseph Guerere
George Joseph Guerere , December 22 , 1943 – January 23 , 2023 , George was born to Generino and Mary Ann Guerere on December 22 , 1943 , in Camden , N . J . George passed away peacefully in Roseville , Calif ., with his loving daughter Gayle and son-in-law James Capik by his side . Upon graduating from St . Joseph High School in 1961 , George joined the Navy and proudly served on the USS Wiltsie as a Radio Mechanic . After his honorable discharge , George enrolled into DeVry Tech Institute in Chicago , Ill . Upon graduation , George began his career as a TV Service Technician for Sears Roebuck and Co . Career opportunities in startup tech companies moved George and his family to Pennsylvania , Maine , then ultimately settling into California in 1983 . While residing in Hammonton , N . J , George was a proud member of the Hammonton Rescue Squad , The Sons of Italy and participated in city sports teams and organizations .
George is survived by his children , Gene ( Katie ), Gayle ( James ), Janet ( Kevin ); grandchildren , Andrew ( Sarah ), Morgan , Kelsey , Andrew , Kyle and Hanna ; great-grandchildren , Aria , Eli and Ivy as well as his former wife , Anne Guerere Scudder . George is also survived by his sister , Jane Cirillo ( Anthony ); brother , Gary Guerere ; along with many nieces and nephews .

Doris B . Salati
Doris B . Salati ( nee Brimfield ), 99 , of Medford , N . J . and formerly of Winslow , N . J . passed away Wednesday , May 3 , 2023 . Doris was born in Braddock , N . J . and was a 1940 graduate of Hammonton High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society . She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Teaching from Trenton State College in 1943 and was a member of the Honorary Society for Women Teachers -Delta Kappa Gamma . Doris retired from the Lower Camden County Board of Education District # 1 in 1969 after 25 years of service .
She is predeceased by her beloved husband , Rudolph ( Rudy ) Salati ; and her parents , Ernest C . and Mary M . ( nee Husted ) Brimfield . Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews .

George R . Smith Jr .
George R . Smith Jr ., 68 , passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 2 , 2023 . He was born and raised in Folsom , N . J . where he worked for many years in the family business of heavy hi-way construction . From a young age , he shared an inseparable bond with his father which started a generational love of sports . George Jr . was an avid Philadelphia Flyers , Eagles , Phillies and NASCAR fan . As a devoted father , George Jr . was well known for his passion of auto racing and unwavering support of both of his sons on the race track . He was happiest when at the track and when surround by his family . He traveled extensively to watch his son play ice hockey . Having his large family all in the same place filled his heart with joy . In his later years , George Jr . resided in North Carolina with his wife , son , George III , loving daughter in law Stacey and their two children . George Jr . loved his wife , children and grandchildren unconditionally . He is most remembered as a hard worker and a kind and loving man who would help anyone . He will be greatly missed . “ 3 to 1 .”

POLICE , from Page 1 trespass at 9:52 p . m . on May 4 , Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said .
“ There was a suspicious person on the 500 block in the area of N . First Road . Police had located Thomas Hryckowian , 30 , of Williamstown ,” Friel said .
He was advised during the evening prior that he was not permitted on the property on the 500 block of N . First Road , Friel said .
“ He returned and was arrested ,” Friel said .
