Anthony J. Tomasello Sr.
Anthony J. Tomasello Sr., 74, of Galloway Twp., died on March 2,
2020 surrounded by family and friends.
He was born in Hammonton to parents Antonio and Jenny (Mino)
Tomasello. He resided in Mays Landing in 1960 and graduated from
Oakcrest High School in 1964. Anthony was the owner/operator of T and
T RV Transport and loved working in the industry. His passion for racing,
classic cars and his family truly inspired him every day. He was married
to Kathleen (Kelly) Tomasello.
He is predeceased by Antonio and Jenny (Mino) Tomasello; uncles,
Anthony Mino and A.J. Mino and brother-in law, Paul Iuliucci. Surviving
are sister, Mary Ann (Tomasello) Iuliucci; son, Anthony Tomasello Jr.;
daughter-in-law, Marguerite (Emmons) Tomasello; daughter, Gina (Tomasello) Morris;
niece, Michelle Iuliucci; granddaughters, Madison Tomasello, Sarah Tomasello, Sydni Mor-
ris; nephew, Dylan Souder and niece, Paige Souder.
A viewing was held on Saturday March 7, 2020 at Carnesale Funeral Home in Hammon-
ton. A private burial was held following the viewing. In lieu of flowers, donations can be
made to Cologne Animal Hospital 727 White Horse Pike, Cologne, NJ 08213.

Lamar Newsome Jr.
Lamar Newsome Jr., 78, of Hammonton and formerly of Trenton died
on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Acuity Specialty Hospital in Atlantic City.
He was born December 28, 1941 to the late Coralene Ayers and Lamar
B. Newsome, Sr. He was the fourth born to this union. Lamar was an en-
trepreneur and operated his own business, corner store, for many years.
He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and see the smile of
those around him. He was affectionately known as “June” to his brothers
and sisters and although he was much older than his other siblings, he
was always a gracious big brother.
He is predeceased by his parents, Lamar B. Newsome, Sr. and Cora-
lene (nee Ayers) and siblings, John Lee, Willie Ira, Clarence Newsome,
Geneva Benson, Louise Fulmore and Geraldine Newsome Waters. Surviving are his nine
brothers and sisters, Corey, Daniel (Christine), Ozell, Richard (Patricia), Nathaniel (Evelyn),
Ronald (Nicole), Mary (Jeffrey), George (Caroline) and Anthony (Tamara) as well as his
cousin, Margaret and many other family members and friends.
Graveside services and burial were held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Greenmount
Cemetery, 124 S. First Rd., Hammonton.

Woman in car outside restaurant arrested

“The vehicle was parked outside
of a local restaurant establishment.
Just the female was in the vehicle,”
Friel said.
Friel asked residents to contact
police about anything that ap-
peared suspicious so it could be in-
vestigated.
“If you see anything that looks
out of the ordinary, please contact
the local police department. We’re
happy to look into it and make sure
nothing is going awry in our com-
munity,” Friel said.
Officer Gordon Ellis was the ar-
resting officer, Friel said.
In other police news, the release
said police made several recent ar-
rests, including the following:
• On March 2 at 10:15 p.m. a
motor vehicle stop occurred at the
intersection of N. First Road and
W. Pleasant St., the release said.
The release said K-9 Officer
Cpl. Robert Zbikowski was the ar-
resting officer.
Matthew Berenato, 39, of Ham-
monton was arrested, the release
said.
Berenato was stopped for motor
vehicle violations, found to be in
possession of a hypodermic needle,
arrested, processed and charged
with possession of a hypodermic
needle and released pending a
court appearance in Hammonton
Joint Municipal Court according to
the release.
• On March 3 at 1:19 a.m. an ar-
rest was made at the intersection of
N. Third and Pratt Streets, the re-
lease said.
Kyle Nurse Jr., 27, of Atco [Wa-
terford Twp.] was arrested, accord-
ing to the release.

stopped for unclear plates, and the
odor of marijuana was emanating
from the vehicle. A search of the
vehicle yielded marijuana under 50
grams and a black grinder, the re-
lease said.
Nurse was arrested, processed,
charged with possession, con-
trolled dangerous substance mari-
juana under 50 grams, possession
of drug paraphernalia and released
pending court, the release said.
The release said Officer Gordon
Ellis III was the arresting officer.
• On March 3 at 5:51 p.m., at the
intersection of S. Egg Harbor Road
and Bellevue Avenue, Jose Baretto,
43, of Hammonton was arrested
following a pedestrian stop, the re-
lease said.
Baretto was found to have an ac-
tive warrant from Waterford Twp.
in the amount of $1,500 and was
arrested, processed and released on
his own recognizance pending
court in Waterford Twp. Municipal
