Carmela Falciani Carmela Falciani (nee Squillante), 84, of Hammonton, died peacefully with her loving family by her side at home on February 6, 2019. She was born in Sarno, Italy and lived in Hammonton for 52 years. Falciani worked at Kessler Clothing Factory and Whitehall Laboratory. She loved spending time with her granddaughters, gardening and sewing. She was a member of Altar Rosary Society of St. Joseph Church. She is predeceased by her parents, Lucia and Pasquale Squillante; her husband, Livio Falciani and her brothers, Antonio and Raphael Squil- lante. Surviving are her sons, Dr. Amerigo Falciani and his wife Dr. Melissa J. Graule of Hammonton and Delfino Falciani and his wife Brenda of Hammonton; grandchildren, Victoria, Olivia, Valkyrie, Alexandria and Galadriel and her sisters, Antoniette Pastore, Lucia Annuniziata and An- gelina Squillante. Viewings were held Sunday, February 10 and Monday, February 11 at the Marinella Funeral Home in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial took place Monday at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish — St. Joseph Church in Hammonton. Entombment followed at New St. Mary’s Cemetery, 515 W. Browning Road, Bellmawr. Kathleen C. “Kathy” Ezekiel Kathleen C. “ Kathy” Ezekiel, 71, of Vineland, died on Thursday February 7, 2019. Born in Camden and formerly of Wenohah and Collings Lakes, she recently had resided in Vineland. She retired as the secretary for the Our Lady of the Lakes Church in Collings Lakes where she was also the church organist after 20 years of service. Ezekiel was a mem- ber of the Secular Franciscan Order of the Immaculate Conception in Egg Harbor, Catholic Daughters of America in Collings Lakes. She is predeceased by her husband, Dennis. Surviving are her children, Sheri, Erik, Joseph Sr. (Ruthann Weyandt) and Holly (Frank Carlamere Jr.); 12 beloved grandchildren; two brothers, Samuel Donaghy and John (Charlotte) Donaghy and several beloved nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, February 12 at Our Lady of the Lakes Church in Collings Lakes, where a viewing took place prior to Mass. Interment fol- lowed at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Williamstown. Arrangements made by Landolfi Funeral Home. Harry E. Boyle Harry E. Boyle, 74, of Mullica Twp. and formerly of Winslow, died on Saturday, February 9, 2019 in AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Division. Born in Sidman, Pa., he was a South Jersey resident for many years. Boyle was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He formerly worked at M & R Refactory and Pacemaker Boat Yard. He enjoyed fish- ing, hunting and farming. Boyle is survived by his wife, Doris Lee Boyle (nee Miller); three sons and their spouses, Daniel and Doris Boyle, Thomas and Carrie Boyle, Scott and Amber Boyle; two brothers, Wade Boyle and Dennis Boyle; one sister, Bonnie James; five grandchildren, Shauna, Ryan, Sky- lor, Kirkpatrick, Saphyre and his many nieces and nephews. Viewings will be held today, Wednesday, February 13, 2019, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Winslow Methodist Cemetery, 27 Hall St., Winslow. Thursday, February 7, 8:53 a.m. DWI arrests by Hammonton Police by Gabe Donio G AZETTE S TAFF W RITER HAMMONTON—Police made DWI arrests recently, according to Hammonton Police Lt. Kevin Friel. At 8:33 p.m. on January 29, a call that began as an erratic driver call on Route 206 eventually be- came a driving while under the in- fluence arrest, Friel said. Police received a report of a car driving erratically and then pulled over to the side of the roadway, Friel said. Officer Gordon Ellis III found the vehicle and the driver Shahen Marku, 41, was found to be oper- ating the vehicle under the influ- ence and in possession of eight white in color wax folds contain- ing a white in color powder be- lieved to be heroin; seven white in color rectangular tablets and four yellow in color rectangular tablets believed to be Xanax, Friel said. Marku was arrested, processed and charged with driving while under the influence, reckless driv- ing, possession of controlled dan- gerous substance in a motor vehicle, careless driving, failure to exhibit documents, possession of Theft on Pine Rd. reported by Gabe Donio G AZETTE S TAFF W RITER HAMMONTON—Police are investigating the theft of a washer, dryer and refrigerator from a home on the 500 block of Pine Road, Hammonton Police Lt. Kevin Friel said. A person watching a neighbor’s house while they were out of state reported that the washer, dryer and refrigerator were missing from the residence, Friel said. “In checking the residence, the neighbor noticed the slider door had been tampered with, and it is believed that is where the items were re- moved from the house,” Friel said. Officer Eric Pohl is the investigating officer, Friel said. Anyone with any information about the theft should contact the Hammonton Police Department at (609) 561-4000, Friel said. In other police news, while on patrol at 10:33 a.m. on January 31 on the 100 block of S. White Horse Pike, Sgt. Jason Rigby initiated a stop of a motor vehicle that came up as an unregistered vehicle on his li- cense plate scanner, Friel said. The vehicle was a 2005 silver Nissan Titan operated by a Stephanie Cerulli, 47, of Mullica Twp. Friel said. Friel said Cerulli had an active warrant from Egg Harbor Twp. in the amount of $750. She was also charged for having an unregistered vehicle and released on her own recognizance pending a court date in Egg Harbor Twp., Friel said. He was released as per John’s Law pending an appearance in Hammonton Joint Municipal Court and Atlantic County Supe- rior Court, Friel said. At 9:50 p.m. on February 2 on the 700 block of 12th Street, K-9 Officer Jonathan O’Neil made a motor vehicle stop for failure to yield, Friel said. Rudi Galvez, 40, of Hammon- ton was operating a 2006 brown Ford Ranger pickup and was found to be operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, Friel said. He was charged with driving while under the influence and re- fusal to submit to breath testing, failure to stop or yield, failure to wear a seat belt, unlicensed driver, uninsured motorist, failure to ex- hibit documents and reckless driv- ing, Friel said. He was released as per John’s Law pending a court appearance in Hammonton Joint Municipal Court, Friel said. At 11:25 p.m. on February 2 on the 200 block of Railroad Avenue, a purple 1994 Honda driven by Juan Garcia-Oliva, 45, of Ham- monton was involved in a single- vehicle crash, Friel said. “There was an accident which led to a driving while under the in- fluence of alcohol arrest,” Friel said. The driver was traveling west- bound on Railroad Avenue, went off the roadway to the right, stuck a curb and then a telephone pole, Friel said Garcia-Oliva was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was charged with driv- ing while under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to exhibit docu- ments, failure to maintain lane and refusal to submit to breath testing, Friel said. Garcia-Oliva was released pending a court date in Hammon- ton Joint Municipal Court, Friel said. Officer Kyle Ambrozaitis was the arresting officer, Friel said.
