A BBB cluster group is being formed to use a Optiweigh unit to demonstrate the value of in-paddock cattle weighing systems for improved monitoring of animal weights , meeting target market weights , and improved efficiency .

Integrated approach to weed management
LDC ’ s grazing land management activity area will continue to support the BBB community to develop a regionwide integrated approach to weed management to help improve healthy and productive landscapes . Extension will continue to be offered to graziers for weed and land management , and a field day is planned which will include a bus trip to multiple sites to see how graziers are tackling woody weed infestations . Grazier network continues water monitoring
A community-based water quality monitoring group established in 2019 continues to prove its worth to scientists , collecting data on how much sediment and nutrient run-off is flowing into the Great Barrier Reef from the Bowen , Broken , Bogie ( BBB ) catchment near Collinsville and Bowen .
