Trial and remediation , an ‘ inside ’ story
Graziers are working with NQ Dry Tropics to gain a common understanding of gullies including the causes of their erosion , how best to fix them , how to maintain them over time , and how much that might cost .
A range of remediation methods have been trialled since 2017 , and they ’ re being monitored for effectiveness .
This story is about a large-scale gully rehabilitation project on Strathmore Station , and the landholder ’ s observations .
