Feral pig control across Queensland received a leg-up with more than $ 2 million secured this year to help tackle the challenge. This investment includes five new feral pig coordinators working across eight regions, including the Burdekin Dry Tropics, thanks to grants through the Queensland Feral Pest Initiative. They’ re based in Townsville, Mt Isa, Longreach, Mareeba and Cairns.
