NQ Dry Tropics hosted a meeting of the management committee for the Healthy Waters Partnership for the Dry Tropics, to discuss partnership activities. The partnership brings together more than 20 organisations with an interest in improving the health of waterways around Townsville. NQ Dry Tropics’ Strategy and Partnerships Manager, Donna Turner,( front row, 5th from the right) with fellow members of the Bowen and Abbot Point Community Reference Group. This was the inaugural meeting of the Reference Group, convened by North Queensland Bulk Ports( NQBP). NQBP updated group members on its infrastructure operations, in particular work on the Bowen Jetty. Donna sits on the group alongside representatives from local businesses and residents, the port industry, Traditional Owners, Whitsunday Regional Council and State government.
