At Belmore Downs, gully remediation was carried out to meet Fisheries Act requirements on waterway barriers. One eroding gully was classed as a lowimpact( green) waterway. Neilly Group Engineering designed a rock chute spillway that complies with the accepted standards for this type of site. The design includes 3-metre pools, shown here with Project Implementation Coordinator John Drysdale, which give fish resting areas and maintain upstream passage. The spillway also controls water flow to reduce erosion and sediment loss.
Vegetation Management workshop participants and presenters gathered in Collinsville earlier this year for a session hosted with the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, and, right, Peter Webley presents information about vegetation management and Queensland Globe.
