A new year here at Northwest means that freshmen turn into sophomores, sophomores into juniors, and juniors into seniors, and we will welcome a new group of freshmen. High school is a big change from middle school, especially for a unique school like Northwest. In order to know how some of these new students felt, I interviewed a new freshmen: Amy Rodriguez and Carlo Reyes.
One of the most important questions to ask an incoming freshman is what their first impression of Northwest was.

I thought it would be just like any other high school but I have learned that Northwest offers many more opportunities than other schools and I am looking forward to taking advantage of them.” Amy was also asked what changes would she like to see in the school while she is here. She replied “I would like to see more communication between students in order to get to know each other better and to have more friends.
