10 weekly lectures, led by Dr Stuart Jennings, on
‘The Social History of the 2nd World War’. This

A Concert for Peace
A unique 2-choir concert featuring celebrated
German choir The Buxtehude-Chor, and acclaimed
early-music/contemporary music quintet Excelsa
Voces. The concert includes 19thC music by
Mendelssohn and Rheinberger, as well as early
music by Hildegard of Bingen, Palestrina and
others; and both ensembles come together for a
performance of music from Karl Jenkins' 'The
Peace Makers'. Friday 4th at St.Peters Church,
Inkberrow; Saturday 5th at Holy Trinity Church,

Pianoscapes
'Something old, something new, something
different'... Pianist Chris Long presents his popular
monthy series of piano concerts billed as 'eclectic
music for adventurous listeners'. The music ranges
from Bach to Bill Evans, and from Rachmaninoff to
Radiohead - plus music by Chris himself; ambient
loop, textures and improvisations can be expected
too. Tea and excellent cake are part of the

Indulge in a day of heavenly loveliness. What
more is there to say?! This workshop is an exciting
opportunity to delve into the world of making
luscious bath and body products. Your day will
involve a morning of investigating anhydrous
salves and balms made with beautiful butters, oils
and waxes. In the afternoon your attention will
turn to salts, milks and scrubs, all made using
natural ingredients and fragranced with pure

Society
Death In The Garden : Poisonous Plants & Their
Uses Throughout History - Michael Brown. Join us
for an afternoon of myths, magic, passion and
murder! A former Head Gardener, lecturer in
Horticulture and with an MA in Garden History,
Michael has a particular interest in medieval gardens
and plants and is known as the Historic Gardener.
Michael will discuss poisonous plants and their use
throughout history. Be warned! Many of these
plants may well be growing in your garden.
