Port Description The port of Rhodes is situated on the north tip of the island. It’s position allows the approaching vessel to clearly view the port from a distance as the entrance is wide and all berths are visible. BERTH MILI BERTH PROMITHEAS BERTH EGEO OLD TOWN AREA Rhodes Port Infrastructure The port of Rhodes offers efficient arrival/departure clear- ance witho ut idle time at berth, sufficient length and draft for large cruise vessels, shipside access to shore excur- sion motorcoaches & vehicles. The new cruise passenger terminal offers a 580m2 facility fully equipped to meet the demands of modern cruise vessels and their guests. The Port of Rhodes implements a port facility security plan and fully complies with the ISPS Code-Lev- el 1 requirements. Furthermore it is committed to security and observes any new regulation implemented at international, European and national level. The port’s close proximity to the town allows easy access to a number of supplies and services. CRUISE PIER BERTH TELONIO BERTH GAMA Local ferries use berths at Akandia pier and cruise vessels use the main Pier. On days with congested traffic berths at Akandia pier are used also. There are no nav- igational restrictions when approaching. Southeast winds do tend to build up during the after- noon, mainly in August.
