LIVING IN THE TOWN THE CENTRE OF THE TOWN With a functional urban planning, the centre of the town, where the heart of the town beats and thousands of locals and students love, is defined by roads surrounding its most importantattractions, from the commerical market and the walkways brimming with coffee, food and drink choices, to the public services, the banks and the museum. Heading from the port to Ano Poli (the Upper Town), starting from Othonos-Amalias avenue, you will find the central Aghiou Andrea avenue, named after the Temple of St. Andreas. Alongside, there is the pedestrianised Riga Fereou street, where you can find many cafes, restaurants and bars. On Riga Fereou street, between Dimitriou Votsi and Patreos streets, you will find the pictueresque cross stree of Pantanassis, with some of the most popular food and drink spots. Mezonos is the right next street alongsite Riga Fereou, with Korintou street parallel to Mezonos, while they are crossed, among others, by the central Dimitriou Gounari and Aghiou Nikolaou streets, with the many shops.
