MONASTERY OF PROPHET ELIAS
The road to the monastery is recommended
for the panoramic view, as it is located in
the highest mountain of the island, Eros,
at an altitude of 588 meters. It was founded
in 1813 by monks from Mount Athos and
includes a significant library. This is where
the hero of the Greek Revolution
Theodoros Kolokotronis along with other
warlords were imprisoned for 4 months in
1825.

Σε απόσταση τουλάχιστον 40΄ από την
παραλία της Ύδρας, βρίσκεται το Μοναστήρι
της Αγίας Τριάδας κοντά στον Μύλο. Η Μονή
Ματρώνας απέχει 15’ από την Αγία Τριάδα,
είναι γυναικεία και ιδρύθηκε το 1865. (Τ. +30

Within about 40 minutes from the beach
of Hydra, there is the Monastery of Aghia
Triada close to Mylos. The Monastery of

ΑΓΊΑΣ ΕΥΠΡΑΞΊΑΣ
Βρίσκεται σε κοντινή απόσταση από το Μο-
ναστήρι του Προφήτη Ηλία, σε υψόμετρο
περίπου 500μ., με θαυμάσια θέα. Ιδρύθηκε
το 1819 και ήταν από την αρχή γυναικεία
Μονή ξακουστή για τα όμορφα εργόχειρα

MONASTERY OF AGHIA EFPRAXIA
Is is located in a close distance from the
monastery of Prophet Elias at an altitude of
about 500 meters, with a magnificent view.
It was founded in 1819 and was a convent
since the very beginning, renowned for the
beautiful handiworks made by the nuns. (Τ.

Matrona is about 15 minutes from Aghia
Triada, is a convent and was founded in

ΆΓΙΟΣ ΝΙΚΌΛΑΟΣ
Γυναικεία Μονή στο βουνό Ομπόρι πάνω
από τον όρμο της Λιμνιώνιζας. Είναι βυζα-
ντινού ρυθμού με οκταγωνικό τρούλο και
σπουδαίες εικόνες του 17ου αιώνα. Iδρύθηκε

MONASTERY OF AGHIOS NIKOLAOS
A convent built on the hill of Ombori
mountain, above the Limnioniza cove. It is
of byzantine style with a octagonal altar
and significant icons of the 17th century.
