Years ago, I was told that I wasn't good enough, that I was ugly and that I had nothing to offer to the world. These words and much more played on my mind to the extent that I believed all those words, so I withdrew into my shell.
When I realized that my main problem preventing me from excelling in life was my non-acceptance of my being, I embarked on the journey of learning to self-love.
Some people behave like dogs panting and waiting for others to dish out compliments to them, and when no positive comments were forthcoming, they become depressed and pick on themselves, on parts of their body they don’t like.
To practice self-love, you need to:
1) Forgive yourself
2) Forgive others
3) Practice self-care
4) Have boundaries
5) Take note of your inner voice
6) Have for yourself a happy place
7) Practice gratitude
